Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

the 650 per array is still the best deal.
but i am seeing why one company can sell them and the other cant. we shall see what i turn up.

That would be 1100 dollars we need to come up with. That would be 50 dollars for me and Jmgallego. Same for the other two and everyone else 100 dollars... Not to mention the diodes people ordered.

I can't pay anymore at this time. I already went negative into my account...

well that would cover the initial costs to order but then i am flat broke and have to ship them.

Hmm sounds like they don't want to let lasers of this power into the hands of
the inexperienced. IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!! Tinfoil hat --> :tinfoil:

Btw I'm willing to wait a while longer even if you have to get the diodes on ebay .
Come to think of it you might check there for whole projectors.
none on feebay -atm lots of diodes tho-62.50 and up

well that would cover the initial costs to order but then i am flat broke and have to ship them.

So your options then are as follows

1. Get the part numbers for actual buyers of the projector (ex. MarioMaster)

2. Make everyone pay over 100 dollars for Arrays and ... what.. 10 dollars for Diodes...

Option 2 would mean more time to wait for everyone to acquire more funds if they do not have it at this time (ex Me)

Hey Kiyoukan can you give us an estimate for option 2?

Damn...how can a company turn down almost a 10K order?

Ugh, I just realized you're sitting on ~10K. You know sever measures will be taken if you disappear. Not threatening, but 10K wouldn't keep you hidden for long. We are trusting you, dont disappoint us.

I see where you're coming from, but equally, dealing with Chinese/Eastern companies over the internet poses just as big a risk on the other end, as does the organiser. I'd hope that all transactions are done by revokable payment with full proofs on both sides, or maybe even an LC transaction for maximum safety. I'd expect that 99% of scam artists would have run for the hills by now, so I don't doubt kiyoukan.

well its more like 6-7k...
i dont plan on running.
i had plan for all 28 of my lasers.
thats why i had to grab 4 from the last batch...
i want these as bad as you, if not more
I asked if i gave them the units sn would that qualify me to order them but so far i have not gotten any message back but it is kinda late.

I know Kiyoukan working on it. He was trying to get the order in asap while they were still available from that supplier, perhaps we just weren't quick enough. With the media talking about the arctic so much no wonder there is a problem with the supplier. Thanks a lot Wicked Lasers... Just had to go & use the danger as a selling point (I heard it instantly sets people on fire now).

Have no doubt here either.

Sorry but, that is threatening. And it's not helping anyone.

Dave

Stuff like that has happened before on here to good members. So no I don't think that was threatening. It's just the honest truth.

Like the whole BlueFusion fiasco? Fun stuff!

I hear you ;). Stuff like that happens all over. What I'm saying is that shaking a stick at him isn't going to help anyone at this point - he already has the $$.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

This is why I will only mess with an A-140 diode over the A-130 diode.

And for people asking why I would ever need over 1w, it's not for a pointer, it's for a project to join 8 diodes together with a beam splitter array to make an 8-10w laser.

I've got some experience in dealing with mfg processes for semiconductor parts. Even at the best facilities in the world, you always end up with a spread of at least +-25%. The diodes that can't meet the minimum spec'd bins are recycled. The bulk of diodes will fall around the middle of the min/max spec, and these are what you target to mainstream production devices. The top performing bins are either sold off for use in other low volume applications, or kept for the lower sales volume products that can market as a premium item. In this case, it would make perfect sense that the A-140 is where the premium bins go, as the series nature of the array would result in uneven blue levels if the premium bins were not sorted out to be used together.

kiyoukan: We definitely want the A-140 diodes!
