Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Wow, so paypal is blatantly lying, or using the wrong wording.
I hate hate hate hate hate paypal, but
I hate hate hate hate hate hate ID theft.

By the way, Kiyoukan, PP sent for a single diode. LPF: BShanahan14rulz

I'm not sure what you think PP is lying about.

Peace,
dave

I had a couple of PM's yesterday. Plus he has addressed questions here in the thread today.

Remember, he probably has to work. He's not sitting by the computer just dealing with this ;)

Says hes online... besides hes 19. I just need to know what he wants to do with the array I'm splitting with jmgallego.

I wanted a price for extraction. And other options... Like letting him keep the lenses instead...

I think he said that if 2 people are splitting an array, they would have to work out between themselves who to ship the array to and how to deal with splitting up the diodes.

LOL! By the time I was 19, I had been working for 7 years (not counting my paper routes or lawn mowing gigs), had already served 2 years in the Air Force, and had moved in to an apartment with my first wife (not married yet).

I think he said that if 2 people are splitting an array, they would have to work out between themselves who to ship the array to and how to deal with splitting up the diodes.

He posted this...
To any one doing a 50/50 split on the arrays.
I dont mind you doing this but would like to just ship it to one of you, then let you deal with how you want to go about doing everything else.
The reason why the arrays are cheaper is that i dont have to harvest them, i just re-package them and off they go, no work no money.
But if i have to harvest them theirs time and money there so i charge a bit more.
I try to be as fair as can be.

So I was just trying to lay out all of my options but no reply yet

That makes me feel as if I haven't accomplished anything in my life

Back on topic, have there been any confirmed cases of diodes with epoxy on them, or is it just speculation?

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I think what he's trying to say is that the price per diode is higher when yo ubuy the diodes individually. If you want HIM to split them up and harvest the sleds before shipping, he'd be justified in charging up to $850 for the sled. The reason he can cut down the price for the sled buyers is that he can simply shield the sled from any ESD or physical damage during shipping and send it out.

Edit: and Dave, I guess lying is a bit harsh. My point is, they're calling it a tax, which should go to the government. Instead, it's just saying "here's the money you're paying to US, but we're gonna pretend that it's going to the government."

OK maybe I missed something, but why is there sales tax being added to the order?

Checking before I continue.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I understand now. It is NOT PayPal that is adding the 1.5% "tax." Kiyoukan forgot to factor in the PayPal fees he was going to have to pay. I'm sure that it was easier for him to charge everyone 1.5% "sales tax" than it was to re-do the "products" section of his page.

Kiyoukan had to add it. Otherwise he would have been losing money on each purchase. PayPal didn't do it.

Kiyoukan didn't realize this until after he had received several orders and saw that he was not getting the full $550 or $35.

Peace,
dave
