This is just for the array. He was working with a Casio rep, but the rep could/would only work via the official part number. I found the part number for the Casio replacement array. He is working with the Casio rep. I have not communicated with the rep.

The parts houses I found, with the array listed, wanted more for the replacement array than I pay for the whole projector!

Peace,
dave

So are these arrays from the a130 or a140 projector?

still no clearer.

you say this is just for the arrays.

then the arrays are more expensive than the whole projector?

The arrays are $550US according to the opening post. That would make them less expensive than the projector.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Hey Andy,

No, projectors have been around the $800 mark up to now, give or take. This, 'array only', deal is for $550 so the diodes work out lots cheaper. I think Dave means the parts houses that HE, Dave, found were charging more for the array than the projector, not kiyoukan. Kiyoukan has done well to find these and make them available assuming all goes to plan.

This does appear to be the cheapest source so far. At $35 to buy yourself a single diode, the savings should be clear.

I hope that helps.

These are for the A130

still no clearer.

These are just the replacement part for the laser array assembly.

The projectors cost $740-$800 here.

This array is $550

The Parts houses (not Casio) wanted more than $750 for the array. I obviously didn't buy from them. KiyouKan has the industry connection to go through Casio for replacement parts (avoiding the parts houses)

He is working with a Casio rep to get them at the cost Casio charges

Peace,
dave
