Would it be possible to integrate a 445nm laser with driver and battery in a watch ? Let's see what the forum members wil suggest,...

IF you do it a la-kipkay its possible otherwise i would say no.. There will be heat issue.

I know but still would be nice as a technology demo to press the button for 3-5 seconds @ >1000mw.:D

I like the idea, 3-5 seconds either to pop a balloon or light a match! I like to try different things with lasers so i'll give this build a shot!

Ok come on, there are Nixie clock watches, and if you can ram 4 Nixies and the inverter into a watch...

I suspect power will have to be A123 Cells, not the size A123, The company A123, 3.4V open circuit, and one of their mid sized designs is rated 30 amps, 30 seconds.

Make it a Mickey Mouse Clock (tm)

There are some watches out there for a specific market segment that would be perfect for such a build,...;) Does any of the respectable ladies and gentlemens on this forum wants to help me to build one for me ?

I agree this would be a nice host to but then you would be missing the time. Wouldn't it be nice if it also would act as a real watch so you could be in time,... :p

What about without battery ? You would fit driver, watch body would work as heatsink for the diode. Then all you would have to do would by to connect it with some battery pack. Just touch contact on the watch, and springs in the battery. There would be no need for switch (or it would be on the battery pack), and it would be good safety measure too. You don't want 1W of 445nm randomly turning up in a bus.

If you gave the battery a easy attachment point, and placed a grip switch around the battery, you could essentially hold the battery on your grip and squeeze it to activate the laser watch.

Pew Pew Pew Pew....lol

Next on the list. Bionic 445nm Laser diodes used a prosthetic eyes for cats. Set to KILL

Why ad a external battery pack if you have the rechargeable battery in the watch ? There are enough switches on the watch so you could have one as a security measure and the other one to activate the laser. :tired:

This one is to big ! But i must say it looks like something out of back to the future. ;)

And this one is to see booby so i don't see a use of putting a laser inside.

Actually it takes allot of investigation and hard work to find the right host but when you get there it's just wonderfull. ;)

Well I would not call THIS watch .. I mean something small and completely normal looking. Then you touch it with battery (let's say 9v, but that has low current), only you know what places it connects to .. and BLAM .. 1W of blue light will stream of it.
