A140 diode finned heat sink, Rkcstr driver set to the max with heat sink, Jayrob 405-g-1 lense, and cooling fan .

I think he is. Jeff-that would be 5vdc.. right?-- needing 4.1v and figuring in some loss, usb would be good ==true??

I too am curious as to how it's being powered. :thinking: In one the pics you see a battery pack. So is the battery pack for the fan and the USB for the diode/driver?

I thought with a rckstr driver you need 2.25V + Vf. So if the diode needs ~4V that would be 6.25V minimum? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

No I am not running the rkcstr driver with a USB power supply not enough voltage, It may look that way in the one pic but if you look closer there's no usb plug in my netbook the 8.4 volt re-chargeable battery pack is resting inside my sneaker, sorry if the pic was misleading I should have explained myself better!
