Ive got a 445nm diode UP AND RUNNING!!!!!
Just got it in today, thanks to mariomaster!! So I dont have a flex in for this yet, so I used a rkcstr for now, but plan to tear down my lcc chrome pckt mini and build it with this baby!
As of now, I have it set in an aixiz with a jayrob G1, placed in a flaminpyro maxsink! Rckstr is maxed out! I have tested it under 473nm on my LPM 1 and got 198mW but I suspect it is closer to 300mW, compared to the graphs.
The dot is a rectangular square shape, it can be focused with a G1 very well to the point where it is a almost unnotciable difference from single mode. I imagine that I can get an even better beam if I push the diode past 'flush' in the module. Its a beutiful color, looks closer to violet than you'd think, it flourecences things as well and will light up GITD. Side by side it makes 473nm look teal!!!
Pics or it didnt happen right? Here she is!!!
445nm is in the middle, 405nm on the right, 473nm on the left:
These pics have the camera looking 'down' the beam towards the laser, not the dot, made a better beam shot!
Next to 473nm:
Ive gotta go to work shortly so I will do more with it tomorrow, I hope to have it in a portable build by the end of the week, with a flex set to atleast 600mA!!!!!!
I am so happy to be part of this history that we are making here!!!
