445 laser , question about battery.

Hi guys , i purchased a 445nm , branded as a 1w laser.

I did not know it will work with a 16340 battery , my bets were on 18650.


I assambled the laser and now the battery is consumed after like 1minute of working.

How much a 3.6V 800mah battery last on a 1W laser? I'm very disapointed becose of this tiny battery. Why they did not use 18650... pffff.

Any battery advice? is it safe to make an extender so i can use 18650?

it come with a very cheap chinese charger , now the battery is charging. how much do you think that chinese ultrafire battery will last.

You didn't know what batteries the laser uses when you bought it ?
The 16340 cells have much lower capacity than the 18650 cells but you are using two of them in the laser. And 1 minute runtime is very low.

You have to asked these questions to the seller of the laser.

Most lithium batteries don't come charged. Wait for it to fully charge.

Make sure you charge the battery before putting it in use! Using it right out of the box decreases battery life time quite a bit.

i fully charged the battery and lasted for me like 3 hours of playing with it ( not all the time , but quite some time ). thank you guys for help.
