3000 lumen projector

I see the company who shouldn't be named

has a 3000 lumen projector on the market. Any thoughts on if this would be just more optical tweaks to boost from 2500 to 3000? At $1299 retail that would be $54 a diode if the count is still the same. Sorry for not being specific but I'm really trying to avoid using names and model numbers.

It uses almost certainly the exact same diodes, just maybe driven a little harder, or optical
tweaks of a different nature, if that's what you're asking.

You can find the 3000 lumen one for $999
At the right place, unless the prices have changed I'n the past 2-3 weeks, because I was looking at them myself, unless were talking about different projectors

There was already a group buy for an @150 (which I got one of). I believe it was agreed that they were the same diodes then. I certainly don't notice a difference.

Some say though they test each diode when it come off the production line
and throw it in bins labelled "130", "140", "150" according to it's efficiency...

Never mind, my mistake on the projector... I just noticed what looked like a six was actually a five so this is not a new series like I thought it was. The choice of font coupled with my video card trying to anti-alias the edges blurred the five together and made it look like a six. Sorry to get anyone's hopes up... time to continue my search for new, exciting diode sources.
