I was looking for a >1watt blue Laserpointer Pen-Style (light firework, pointing to stars...)

-Important: Has to be Pen-Style (with clipper if possible)

-It should have more than 1watt (1,5w - 2w would be nice)

-No matter of Duty-Cycle (can be for example 20sec on/ 90sec off)

-Housing finish should be gold or/and black

-Momentary On/Off switch

-Price should be < 350$

Is somebody able to make this Laser?

Sorry but this cannot combine. Penstyle host has barely heatsinking capability and 1+ Watt blue laser are running hot. And two AAA style batteries can't give the needed current.

I think with a copper housing (golden-plated), it could be possible to do 20sec on / 90sec off cycles

How about CR2 batteries or CR123 Batteries ?

Has anyone considered the possibility of using .999 silver as a heat sink or part of it (best possible heat conductivity? Say as an insert in a larger copper element Yes, it costs significantly more than copper, but all things considered it wouldn't be that much more expensive.

One example might be pressing a diode or diode module into a hole in a turned-down 1 ounce silver round (present cost around USD30), then fitting that into a host. Ideas?

Of course, a solid silver pen host WOULD be sweet! ;-)

It can be done.

I have a 14650 Ehgemus pen host. It could easily handle >1W. It doesnt have a momentary switch but I'm sure he can throw one in for you.

PM Harold for details. Then you can get one of our fine builders to build one for you. But I would not expect it to be cheap. If you're not willing to spend ~$225 for laser, I would not waste peoples time.

OOPS: Didnt see your budget was $350. You should have no issues then. Good luck.

I would point you my way for the $110 1W - 1.2W 445nm pen lasers, but I am not at home right now and have no access to my work bench for the next few months :\

I just saw a few pictures of the Ehgemus and i think this is too big for me. It should fit in my shirt.
It should be a pen. Smaller is better. I don't care that much about duty-cycle ;)

You're asking for so much. Why don't you make it? (design mayhaps)

sure you dont need a cell phone and camera in it too???

j/k ....but you are asking perhaps too much. kinda like asking for a Harley motor in a mo-ped...lol

T-Js reply is most likely your best option.. its not all that much larger and that host is a work of art... expect it to eat thru that rechargable quick and overheating might be hard to avoid and you may be putting a new diode or driver in it fairly soon..Even being careful I have killed four 445s.

I pray you will follow all advice here on being eye safe...i might also say that you may need to spend more time using the search and reading.

He makes all sizes. The one I pictured is a pen size. Its a little thicker, but the length spot on.

I think you're taking the power of >1W to lightly. The last thing you want to do is put a 1-2W laser with a momentary button in your shirt pocket. It will easily burn you if the button is pressed by accident. These are dangerous lasers.

Normal I dont post in Looking to buy threads but since you have not found anything maybe you missed some of my stuff.;)

Here is 3 Pen Style Custom Hosts Ive done. They all have tail Clicky to reduce the chance of it going off in your shirt Pocket.

IF you have to have momentary I have pen style hosts that have momentary but have a Key lock on them so you can lock it and make sure it does not go off in your pocket. THey are Black.

Anyway Here are 3 of what i can do but not limited to all i have.;)
