Just got my blue laser pointer from Ebay and I'm new on this forum.

It's powered by 2x 16340 3.7V 1500mAh batteries. As you can see here on the pictures it was pretty well build and was pretty good I could say for a blue laser pointer, it burns pretty well and I'm going to post a burning test video soon!

but how much power does this actualy have? beacause I do not have any laser powermeter here... here is the link to the laser pointer: Blue Laser Pointer Pen High Power 450nm Military Burning Visible Bright Beam 1mW | eBay

and here is some pictures:

Welcome to the forum. I suspect that laser puts out anywhere from 1-1.5Watts based on what I know of similar Ebay models. It's definitely a good intro to the hobby and you got it at a decent price. Just make sure you have safety goggles if you're burning stuff with it, and use common sense when pointing it around outside.

Nice review; wecome to the forum! +rep.
I've seen that host on aliexpress before, it seems pretty nice. How big is it? Could you post a picture with a quarter (or something else) for scale?
Also a remarkably low price for a 445!
The actual power is probably between 1 and 1.6 watts, so whoever said it was 1500mW is probably close enough.

Thanks for the quick reply and for the help!
and yes I use 190nm to 540nm 55% faded red googles, my eyes hurts even when I only point at the wall :D

I'm not pretty good at powerful lasers so I started out with a ebay laser :)

yeah I'll post a picture for scales.

Welcome to LPF Frederick!
Nice laser you've got there, but I don't think your safety glasses are suitable for this power or wavelength. Take a look at these from Survival Laser, they will keep you protected.

Edit: Here is another option available now in the BST section, from a member selling some quality safety goggles "CE certified Edmond Optics laser glasses 3 different styles".

Congrats and welcome to the forum:)
Your eyes should never hurt from looking at a laser unless you are not using adequate protection. You shouldn't be able to see a beam at all with the glasses on.
Also, there is no way we can tell you your output other than potentially a wide range without it being measured with an LPM (Laser power meter). You can try various things though that would narrow the range down. Can it start wHite paper on fire (actual flames)?
