Re: Sipik HK21 18650 hosts + 405/445nm and 650nm lenses

If people are ok with not getting tripods, I can deduct $2 and ship this week OR if anyone is planning on getting another host later on, I can go ahead and ship theirs and send an extra tripod with the second order.

Your lenses should be there today Jake. I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't show up saturday.

Heh. You should get an improvement anywhere from 2-7%, depending on what kind of lens your comparing against. ~2% against aixiz glass, and ~6% against uncoated aixiz acrylics.

I honestly think it's just an aixiz glass, It doesn't have any coating on it at all.
I just noticed how blue the coating on your acrylic looks, and the glass one in my red obviously has no coating, even though when I bought it, i thought it did

Yeah, You get 100 of them face up on a white sheet of paper. they're purdy. :D

Though if it's a long metal housing like the 445 lenses, it's a 3 element glass. If it's a short plastic housing like the one you just got from me, it's an acrylic.

The aixiz glass lenses I have are all AR coated. and have a noticeable blue tint. Sounds like you just have a standard acrylic.

Looking at past order shipping times. Rough ETA on the tripods. April 26th, and the other 20 flashlights(and more tripods), May 4th.

Hopefully from now on I'll remember to pick fast shipping when I order stuff. :p

Ok. all 9 (these were all glued together, so the 10th was sacrificed to finding a new way of cutting off the nose and do the maching without having to deal with breaking the glue) of this batch of lights are tentatively spoken for now, and I should be able to finish the rest of the batch of heatsinks tomorrow night, barring any more unforeseen problems.

Hey,

Just built mine with a 1085 DIY driver set for 1666 mA, and AW IMR batteries that can actually deliver on that.

Anyway, AWESOME little laser. This must be the most power, I've packed into the tiniest little host yet. This is now amongst my favorite 445s! 1.4W from this little guy is amazing!

BH:
You should. Honestly, this is one of my favorites.

My only concern with it, is that I'm not going to be able to resist the urge to replace the button with a momentary clicky.... It's really the perfect host for being a momentary clicky - and I really don't need to be spending any more time with a soldering iron right now!

Ok people, those on the list who have told me they wanted a host so far, PM me with a list of everything your wanting.. host, lenses, etc, and i'll get you totals and give you my paypal address. This batch is close enough to being done that i'll start taking payments. Also, looks like the tripods will get here tomorrow as well, so everyone will be getting complete packages.
