Logging to their old Kenometer and Kenometer Lite LPMs as well
as the Alpha LPMs...

We also saw that buyers of the 5W nospin LPM were asking for the
same Data Logging feature from the 1st day they were for sale.
(There are no known noise issues with using the DL3-Module™and
the nospin LPM)

We also saw the popular Alpha being questioned as to a Data Logging
option...

The DL3-Module™ can even be used with a powered OHIR 20C-A Thermopile
head alone to make your own 5Watt DIY LPM with Data Logging...

Introducing the The J.BAUER Electronics DL3-Module™ which uses and
comes bundled with our new full featured [FONT=&quot]Eagle Eye™[/FONT] Data Logging software.

The DL3-Module™ is a Micro-Controller and high bit count ADC translating
TRUE real time data into TRUE real time mW values that are sent to
our included [FONT=&quot]Eagle Eye™[/FONT] Data Logging software.
It can then be Saved to File... Saved as an Image or printed out.
The [FONT=&quot]Eagle Eye™[/FONT] Data Logging software Graph even allows you to Zoom
to any Graph point like an Eagle's Eye....

The J.BAUER Electronics DL3-Module™ which includes our new [FONT=&quot]Eagle Eye™[/FONT]
Data Logging software also comes with User Instructions that contain all the User
Guides and Installation Instructions not to mention a drawing to easily
install this small wonder into your older LPM to breathe some much need

It measures a mere 39.3mm X 21.5mm X 9.9mm.

The DL3-Module™ will work with ANY... I repeat.... ANY LPM that uses
a LED or LCD Voltmeter with a resolution of 1mV...
So if you have built or purchased an LPM with a LED or LCD Voltmeter
that has 1mV resolution... you can now add a Data Logging feature to it..

Can you be more specific than just "high bit count"? How many bits does the ADC have?

As of this writing we are still tuning into (developing) the firmware
and hardware and the the actual bit count that will give suitable output...
It will no doubt be between 12 and 16 Bits...
A standard MCU such as the Arduino only has a 10bit ADC on board..

Thanks for the info.

I wish the next arduino update would add a higher bit ADC. I'm tired of always adding an external ADC for every project.

We have our very own full featured [FONT=&quot]Eagle Eye™[/FONT] Data Logging software
that comes bundled FREE with the DL-Module™ Data Logging PCB...
and was designed specifically for it...

There is no need nor do we see a need for any 3rd party graphing software...

Since we designed the DL-Module™ Data Logging PCB and Firmware...
I find it difficult to believe that a 3rd party could improve what the 3rd
party has not yet seen.... or touched...:thinking:

If I designed the whole system, it would output a standardized stream that would be available for programmers. Ideally, I would release a software package of my own, a list of other compatible programs, and specifications of the stream.

Unfortunately I've not designed a whole full system yet.

BTW.... I was wondering if you were going to share your Data
Logging protocol with the members here so that they could use
your software with their own LPMs...

All the previous versions of Luminosity have been licensed for use with particular products.

I do, however, plan on building and releasing a free universal version eventually. When I asked you about other software, I wasn't talking about anything I wrote. Nothing I've written and released is currently compatible with any of your products.

But you didn't say - will this module be compatible with any common software, or (if not) have specifications on output and calibration in the manual so that customers can use the OEM logging module in devices where using the bundled software is infeasible?

I ask because I need to do this, and I'm sure other people in the future might also.
