I have send you a payment a few days ago, did you receive it?

Do you have a idea when you will be able to ship my order?

Greetings,
Tim

[quote author=666DAN link=1209418066/108#116 date=1213758880]drlava -  just wondering if you received my order from the 12th OK? I was chasing 4 x drivers and 4 x lenses to Australia.....the googles just have it as 'proceessing'  :-/

Hi, It doesn't look like you entered 666DAN in the forum username box, so I'm not sure who you are.  If you are djtee then yes I got it and yours goes out today.
thanks!

Yeah I signed up here after I ordered...yep djtee is me! Cool once they're here, I should have an order for another 10 once I've finalised a few things.

thanks!

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Sup DrLava,

from what I've read, most of this thread and all of your user manuals, the pot on the 32-150mA version is at midway point when shipped. Is this a linear relationship or something more exponential, like does this mean the driver is shipped at 91mA? (150 minus 32 = 118 / 2 = 59 +32 = 91 would be linear)

I've already mounted the driver in a MXDL and its very hard if not impossible to measure the voltage over R10 to figure out the load current, I'm trying to drive an 803T blu ray at 100mA and was curious as to about how much I want to turn the pot to achieve this or something close to it.

thanks for your hard work,
by the way, what did you study in college?

I had similar problem measuring the current via the voltage across R10. I put the meter in the output circuit and measured the actual current. There's no guess work when you do it that way. ;)

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Hi, the adjustment has more or less an exponential range. as you turn the pot up, it will become more and more sensitive, so be careful :) I studied Electrical engineering.

yes but make sure you have a load, and make sure the load does not become disconnected.

i've been soldering stuff everyday and it took me a long time to solder wires onto the PCB boards. About 20 minutes. I think it helps to have a really fine soldering iron or maybe a low temp one? not sure why but my $10 radio shack iron always seems to suck for tiny PCB things but works great for normal soldering wires / pins / circuits together...

some tips: use the fact that this board has holes in it and bend the wire through the hole into place, then take a bit of solder and just blob it onto the hole/wire and it should turn out alright. having the wire stuck in the hole helps it keep it in place also which is nice.

& @ drlava: thanks for the exponential range tip, I'll be careful when adjusting it.
& I'm about to graduate with computer engineering - EE track, its really interesting stuff, i want to get involved in FPGA design at Xilinx if they'll take me or I'll start my own company in a few years designing my own reconfigurable hardware chips :)

Your driver wasn't broken, the pot was just a little 'tweaked.'

Drlava, I'm trying to order a 32-150mA driver but the order page doesn't load properly. :(

DrLava, any idea when you'll ship my order placed on June 23rd?

Thanks!
