You must have received one of the pre-release super pulse mode drivers! :) congratulations! ;)
I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it bothers you. can you give more details about your build specifics?

Yeah, I suppose I'll crank the juice to take advantage of it! j/k

So, my build is an MXDL using one of the heatsinks being sold here. I have one cr123 battery, and a solid aluminum dummy battery. (w/ heatshrink around it.. from someone on candepower forums)

It doesn't bother me. When the battery is full, I don't really see it. At first I thought maybe something was loose, but then I figured out it had to do w/ the battery draining.

I got a solder bridge between the diode negative and the capacitor near the diode - terminal. I can't quite see the traces on the PCB, but it looks like that cap goes across the diode power rails. The bridge was between the diode negative wire and the negative side of the cap, so I didn't connect anything that wasn't already connected. I cleaned up the bridge, anyway.

Are surface mount capacitors fragile? I don't think I heated it up much, but I don't work w/ surface mount much. Not sure how heat sensitive the components are.

Does anyone know if there's anything inside the button on those MXDL's that could cause this? That's the only part of the flashlight I didn't completely disassemble.

I've got really sensitive vision, so maybe I'm seeing something other people aren't. (I can clearly see the 60hz flashing on monitors if someone forgets to crank up the refresh rate.. drives me crazy!)
This is a switching supply.. how fast does it switch?
(and again, on full batteries, it's not enough to bother me, or really notice unless I'm hyper critical. I just want to be sure nothing is broken, as I don't want to kill this diode!!)

Great product drlava. I love my driver! works great with the 803T and your instructions with the diode for use with 6V were easy to follow and do.

thanks! I'll buy more soon.
