Hi I am new here and i just wanted to make sure i can use this driver along with kipkay's tutorial on how to make a burning laser mini-maglite, so can I?
(instead of a 200mW red LD i was going to purchase and use a 150mW blue-ray LD) :thanks:

Hi guys I'm away this week, just though I'd check in and say Hi and I'll get to shipping out the rest of the orders when I get back. These are now out of stock and will be back in later.

Yes you are correct himnl9 a scratchy connection can fool the turn-on circuit and could cause a spike, so 'decent' switches are highly reccommended! Good research :)

i take it you didnt read this post

Hi everyone I'm back. First off, the V4 batch is now sold out. Thank you for your orders! Any orders placed starting last week can be canceled if you want, or put towards the V5. The V5 will have reverse battery protection built-in, and some of the ranges adjusted a bit but otherwise the same as V4 in terms of size and operation. The V5 is expected to be available early September.

Announcement!: The LASORB laser diode static protection device is now available for general purchase on the site. Look at the top of the FlexMod order page for 'LASORB' The LASORB devices protect IR, Red, and Blu-ray diodes from static discharge when off, and while operating when installed correctly. Generally used in 'lab' modules, communications systems, and laser show modules, these LASORB devices can also be used in some pointers with larger internal driver spaces such as Krytons.

did my order ship out before you go ?

thanks

Hi, no but from the tracking it looks like you have it by now :)

I just placed an order for another Flexmod driver with LASORB for blu-ray. I need your paypal to send you the extra money for an additional LASORB. I am also mailing in my flexdrive for repair. I understand you are out this week so just let me know when you get back. If you could also set the flex drive for the 100mA to 312mA range before you send back that would be great but I understand if you can't. Thanks.

ok no problem

I wouldn't suggest this driver for a mini maglite because of the possibility of spiking as the power is 'scratched on' with the twist method of that host. There are solutions (modfications) to solve this but stock, not suggested.

pwNd, i heard dr.lava state when he ran out of stock that people could either cancel their orders, or just wait and v5 would be shipped to them when they are in stock.

he IS taking orders, so you can just order it now and it will ship when he has them in stock. Thats is what i am doing.

....correct me if i'm wrong and i'll edit post lava.

i'd just order.. the v4 isn't being made anymore afaik, so "ordering a v4" right now on the site.. really means..

pre-ordering a v5, pretty much.
