I did. I'm out of groove drivers as well.

I would like to buy some drivers if you still have any. I bought a 4171 host. Thank you

The price is $23 now, the use of double sided construction and tinier components and more of them caused that.  There had been a lot of requests to fit this IN an aixiz module so now what you see here is the smallest, most powerful and versatile driver available.  It uses cell phone size tech inside.

Spyder, those are intended to be range capability guidelines given the input voltages 2-5.5V.  I chose 5,3,and 1.8 as example output voltages because they are typical diode voltages.  It's still a constant current driver.

So you could still set the current and use it as you would a normal flexdrive?

Which diodes use 1.8 volts?

the infrared-pumpdiodes of greenies.. means, you rip out the original driver, have only the relatively short metaltube, and use the new flexdrive. perhaps these IR diodes are not 1.8v but a bit above, but the new driver fits definitely! before, older flexdrive-layout, you would have needed to put a regular diode in between the driver and the greenie, so the "too low" voltage of the laser is heightened. which meant 1/4 to 1/3 more energyconsumption, transformed into heat right in your host..

sure, the flexdrive was the hottest thing available before already, but now, damn, its da secks in electronics! :)
