Yeah... it would be a little trickier since the pill presses up against the heatsink...

So I would have to bore in to get the module length (where the press fit will need to be) But leave a 'skirt' that the pill can press against.

I did try an RCR123 at 475mA's with the Micro Boost driver and it worked. I did not test at low charge though...

But I think it's fine as long as your not trying to push the higher currents...

hmm so if I wanted to run a diode at currents around 600-700mA's it would be better to use a kit that uses a 1850 battery

yep that kit definitely looks perfect for these new 445nm diodes. Especially with the copper press fit heatsink!

Thanks Jay, I got the Chrome mini today. I've got the micro boost driver all soldered up with leads coming off for the diode pins, jumpers set, current set, insulated and ready for the diode. Should be here tomorrow. I have the driver set in the pill this time. Works out way better. Thanks again. This thing is going to really need that copper heatsink the way I am going to be running it.

Just letting you guys know that these 10 Pocket Mini Chrome hosts are shipping DHL right now...

Pocket%20mini%2033.jpg

4 of these 10 are already spoken for...

I had to pay more to get these... They cost me an extra $6 dollars per light... So I shared the extra cost. I raised the price by $3 dollars... ($48 instead of $45 for the basic kit - host/heatsink/drill the pill)

DX has been back ordered on these, so I went to another vendor...
