Ok, here ya go!

As you can see I did not use the lava drive. I didn't expect to get your kit so fast and lava, he has been...well...out of stock:whistle:
So I used this o-like driver. Actually kinda cool that it works. I had to use a cr2 and not a 123. Very nice fit tho, build feels solid even without a threaded pill.

Maybe you can do a hot-option/o-like and and make this even easier/cheaper... just a thought.

Overall, great kit! took me about 30 seconds to complete (I had the module pre-built but didn't expect to use it for this).

Pretty cool man! I have not tried one of the o-like drivers yet...

Good job with the improvisation! :gj:

Jay, how much would it cost to get just the pill drilled out and the host (in other words, no heat sink)? I'm thinking on a copper heat sink for a possible 6x down the road.

The normal kit heatsink is make of 6061 aluminum. I will offer a copper heatsink option for the Pocket Mini Kit! :)

Not for other kits, my mini lathe doesn't like copper. But these heatsinks are small, and I don't mind making them in copper.

I will charge $8 dollars extra for the copper heatsink version of the kit.

If you want just the host with the pill drilled out, and no heatsink included, it will be $24 dollars plus shipping...

does that mean that the heatsinks alone will cost $20?

I had mentioned in a different post somewhere, that I would sell the aluminum heatsinks with set screw for $19. So I guess I should say that without the heatsink, the kit will be $24, not $23.

That means a copper heatsink with set screw by itself, will be $27 dollars plus shipping. ($3 dollars shipping - heatsink only)

Hey I just went to buy some copper and I must change my price. The stuff is quite expensive!

They will be $27 each plus $3 dollars shipping. (heatsink only)

Or, add $8 dollars to the normal kit price for copper instead of aluminum...

Just finished my matching red Pocket Mini - driver set to 300mA for long life, LCC from DarkLasers (great service!) and a Meredith Red Lens.

The result, a spiffy match to my blu-ray Pocket Mini outputting 209mW. I haven't stress tested the laser yet, but 2-3 minute burns result in very little warming of the host.

I've mastered the Pocket Mini, but there's lots more kits for me to build!

Your going to love that copper heatsink! I put one in my Pocket Mini 8X and it is nice and heavy feeling...
