Sorry if it is confusing... There are a lot of options to think about with this kit! :D

* Pocket Mini basic kit - $43 plus shipping. This includes the host/Heatsink/and pill drilled out.

Then you can add these options if desired:

* 'Hot' option - $48 This option includes a FlexDrive pre-mounted with current set as desired, and lead wires soldered on. (more details below)
* AixiZ module - $5
* 405-G-1 glass lens mod - $55 28% increase for blu-ray vs AixiZ acrylic! Shown here: http://laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?t=22497
* Meredith glass lens mod for red (fit for AixiZ) - $57 20% increase for red vs AixiZ acrylic! Shown here: http://laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?t=22501
* EzFocus adapter - $20 (see first post)
* Tritium Marker installed - $24.99 (more details - first post)
* Shipping - $6 (this covers my packaging and PayPal fees as well)

Shipping out of the U.S. will be the same price. But there will be no signature confirmation. (Out of U.S. buyer assumes responsibility at that price) Should not be a problem though... (I would mark the package as a gift, with a description of 'LED Flashlight' with a low value of $15)

Hi so I plan to build a red burner around 275 mW using a flexdrive from dr lava. I also need a heatsink and a aixiz module. I already ordered the diode from modwerx. So what options do I have, jayrob, about the host and heatsink? I just saw your new design. What does the 20$ price include?

P.s I already read the first post but I thought you could suggest me the best option :D

If you already ordered the FlexDrive, then all you need is the basic Pocket Mini kit...

This includes the host/heatsink/and drill the pill.

Other options (in order of importance) are the 405-G-1 glass lens modification which can be added any time. It is designed for an AixiZ module, so make sure of that before you get one. I have heard that the Sure modules are not always threaded all the way down on the inside.

The $20 dollar EzFocus adapter is designed for use with the 405-G-1 glass lens mod. It is just an easy way to control the focus without burning your fingers:

And then there is the Tritium marker if you want... This is just a glow in the dark marker that is glued into a machined slot with clear silicone.

Just for looks, but Tritium is really cool stuff! It has a half life of about 12 years. It glows at all times. It does not need light like normal GITD material...

Ok so, I am interested in a mini kit that includes an xdml host, a heatsink and drill the pin. I will finish ordering a flexdrive and as I said, I already ordered a red diode from modwerx. Could you tell me if you can include an aixiz module with small wires as in the picture avobe, so I can connect my diode to the lava drive?? I don't have any spare aixiz that's why I ask.. Also, how much would that be to ship to Greece? Thanks

Peter

Total - $54 U.S. dollars... (I will include some fine wire, just remind me when you pay)

Sending PM,

:thanks:

I only have the black hosts...

Personally, I prefer the CR123 primary. It fits better in the host, and it has more capacity. It also will hold it's charge if your leave you laser sitting.

These batteries are expensive at your local store, but they can be bought on-line for cheap. And they have like a 12 year shelf life, so I buy them 12 at a time. You can't go wrong! :)

Thanks anyway, but I have tons of hosts and stuff...

The first post in this thread has some build tips, and can be used as a tutorial on the assembly. There is also a picture of the correct battery orientation. (case negative)
