Do you think that the driver circuit from a 2xAAA green pen would drive a red diode? Or would I definitely need a boost driver here?

I've never tried it...

But I know a rkcstr will work with 2 X 10440's, or of course a FlexDrive with 2 X AAA's...

No.

The amperage would be sufficient but the 808 pump runs on 2.2V.
Also, the polarity is opposite, meaning you would need to isolate the diode from the host.
808 pumps are case (-).

Are the dimensions the same as a newwish host? I want to put a green module designed to fit a newwish in here, and I want the button to line up... This comes with a little button that will make contact with the switch as well, right?

I don't have a newwish host to measure. But I have measurements of this host in the first post...

There is also a picture of everything included. (yes, the tiny button is included)

The Chrome ones have an extra hole above the side button hole that can easily be covered with a warning label. But this makes them about 1/4" longer at the front. (better for a green module)

I want the hole in the front for an LED or something... I'm just wondering if I can stick a wlaser module in here and have it fit.

The newwish laser modules and the ones from O-like are a bit too long.
They will have to be modified.

The dimensions of the hosts are shown in the first post...

The only way to know the module measurements, is to have it in hand.

But that said, if you are good at modification, you will most likely be able to fit it. Even if it means cutting some of the extra brass barrel off of the front of the module...
