So, are there any lithium batteries available longer than 10440s, like a 10650 or something? I'd like to do a pen host like this, but I don't want to use alkalines, and two Ni-MH AAA won't do the trick, and one 10440 means I need a full AAA spacer (which I imagine are reasonably easy to find, but still). So, anyone know about a lithium longer-than-average AAA-diameter cell?

Oh, right! I was thinking 2.5-5.5 Awesome, I'll be buying one of these soon, as I'm going to a focus group soon and getting $75 for it! :D Do you have the black ones on hand? And hose circuit boards, with a spring and a button already in place?

I just re-read the post, but didn't find any mention of an additional cost in for the circuit with the spring and button, is there?

It's a $3 dollar option... (shown in the first post of this thread)

Ah, yes, I see it now. $3 seems a little steap, but it does already have the spring on there...*Will have to think this over, and probably go to RadioShack before too long...*

I don't suppose you'd be willing to make your brass module-get-er-out-er about 2 inches and cost less...?

Hmmm... well, it's still the same amount of work. How about a 2" one (roughly) for $15?

Yep! I wasn't expecting *too* much off for that price, but a 2" one would be enough for, say, some plastic-/rubber-tipped vice grip pliers, which might ultimately allow for more control. Alrighty, I'll let you know on Wednesday what I'm in for (might not want one of your brass puller-thingies *just* yet). Also, do you generally prefer to make PHR or LPC leadlights? I haven't decided which I'm gonna do yet, and I'd have to order a diode either way, so it doesn't really make a difference yet. But, I'm really leaning towards a PHR...although, I *might* just be able to afford a 6X, SW-AW210, in which case I'd want that...what do you think? PHR for cheap but blue, SW-AW210 for high-power blue, or LPC for low-cost and high power?

I made two blu-ray's and a red for myself...

A PHR with AixiZ acrylic, a PHR with a machined down Meredith module (before I had made the lens modifications fit for AixiZ), my red build has a 'Phazor' diode from the DDL group buy from way back...

For me, I'd choose the 6X blu-ray...

But it's just a matter of preference. Both would be nice builds. But the blu-ray beam would be more visible than the red beam in the dark. Plus, it will burn a little better... (IMO)

Some things will burn better with the red, but overall burning seems better with a 6X blu-ray.

You would have more power with the red though...

* LOC - 420mA's will give about 245mW's with AixiZ acrylic. (back opened) - 295mW's with 650-G-1 glass lens.

* AW-210 - 170mA's will give about 160mW's with AixiZ acrylic. (back opened) - 200mW's with 405-G-1 glass lens.
