Got the heatsink this morning in the mail. This thing looks great. Cant wait to try it out. I was expecting my new diode in the mail today but it never came. I hope it will be here in the morning. I really need to find a different vendor for the diodes. I dont like waiting a week to get an order, especially when the diode is coming from within the US. I will probably order a couple more phr diodes as back ups and i will more than likely order them from modwerx and have them in a couple days. But thanks again for the fast service and fast shipping jayrob~!!!!

Just wanted to say thanks for a great heatsink. I just got my build done this morning and it is working great. I may be placing another order real soon for another one so i can build another bluray laser but i want to use a better diode than the PHR's. Just cant make up my mind on which diode to get.

The next best deal is a GGW 6X...

You can get the sleds from scopeguy20, or hightechdealz.com

You also might check modwerx.com

Hey Jay, I wasn't sure where to post this but since this is your heatsink thread I figured it would be more appropriate than the custom copper module thread :) I have taken the measurements from my SolarForce host and attached a drawing of what I am looking for. I have test fit this form using a stiff paper cut-out and it appears to fit perfectly. Let me know if you can do this and how much it would be for an aluminum version. Of course I would need the center drilled out for an Aixiz module press fit :)

That's just about identical to the heatsink design I came up with for the L2P, so I would guess that the two hosts have the same interior...

My heatsink also has a smaller section at the bottom that fits into the battery compartment to make the heatsink longer yet. This was needed for an 18650 to fit properly.

I will have a cavity for the driver, and it will be fit for a contact board with brass ring to press in the bottom of the cavity...

Not a press fit design. But fit for an AixiZ module with a set screw. For a press fit design, the press area would be way up inside because it would need to be close to the lens. (same distance as an AixiZ module)
