If you are going to DIY build, Don't think about it just go for this.

I used the 3405 host and heat sink from Jay along with the FlexDrive board.  For a red build I used a Sony 16X DVD burner diode.

Mine is set for about 200 - 220mw output using a AR coated lens and its one decent laser!

I got everything off Jay except my diode and it was very easy to assemble.
Postage from US to Australia was laser fast.

Everything fitted together perfectly.  If you want to build your own laser, this is a good way to go.  The 3405 host and heat sink is very robust and feels it.
I like stuff with quality, and this gear is.

I have a few pictures I have tried to put them in but don't think it is working.  I will try again later if this has not worked.

John Australia.
Here is an overview of everything just out of the bag ready to get started.

You know, I have always shown very detailed tutorials and included measurements in many cases so you can DIY...

But some will take my measurements, and start selling the same thing as I do.

So I would rather not post my measurements anymore. People will have to measure the host their self. Or just buy a heatsink and measure it.

Ok that's fine. I was just curious cause I have a host I may want to DIY someday and its about the same size as your pocket mini. And I'm sure you could sell me a pocket mini heatsink, which may fit right into this one.

But the build may be a ways off and the tailcap clicky stopped working so I probably won't be using this host for a DIY anymore.

You can just PM me, or even send me the host. Then I could make a heatsink for it! :) The switch can probably be fixed too...

I can see from the DX pictures that that host would be an easy build the way it comes apart at the head. It would need it's own custom heatsink.

I would have to get the host in hand in order to fit a heatsink. Then I would have the heatsink design. They would be the same price as these heatsinks. $23 plus $3 dollars shipping...
