Jay, I dont have any 80 grit sand paper to do the insides so my freak module will fit. Would 60 grit be okay? I mean, obviously 80grit is better but would 60 grit do the job?

+1 rep, too

Thanks for the rep guys!

el-taco, yes 60 grit would be fine. It shouldn't need much... Probably just some sanding around the set screw area. The aluminum gets a little 'pushed out' when the drill bit punches through.

My module is a tad too fat...

Hmmm.... this is the first I have heard of this. I use the same drill bit. I have heard (and experienced) that sometimes the module will start to slide in, but stop at the set screw area.

Are you using a module from AixiZ?

AixiZ = .466 in. (11.85mm)
Sure = .472 (11.99mm)
I don't have a DX module here

Good information Dave! Thanks...

That's it then. The heatsinks are fit for AixiZ (or DX) module. I have tried the DX, and they are the same size as the AixiZ. The Sure module is too big...

I bought it from TheMonk, he said it was an Aixiz module. Im fairly sure it is, Im not too sure what a Sure module looks like though.

I use the same drill bit to bore out the center, so the size of the hole is exact. If the module does not even start to slide into the heatsink, then it is either a freak AixiZ module, or it is not an AixiZ module. It's a good thing that AixiZ modules are cheap! You can get one at Stonetek.org, or if you want a 10 pack, AixiZ sells them on e-bay...
