I stock a few drivers, but I need them for my 'Hot' option kits...

So I don't sell the drivers separately. But you can just buy direct from the designer of the FlexDrive. Here is drlava's site:
http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/Micro_FlexDrive.php

You'll have to ask him about having wire leads on there for you, but I know he offers the current pre-set as an option...

Tell you how the push button works? Not sure what your asking...

But yes, I can sell you a heatsink and a Terralux switch if you want...

Hi Jay,

Got Lotsa questions for ya. I got a mini mag to use as a host, and I think bits of your kit are basically what I need to turn it into a good host for my 445 diode. Couple things though: 1W 445, with a blue laserbug on it already. I kinda wanna get it up to that 1W, so I'm not sure minimag is appropriate for it. I have the o-ring, but wondering if I can use a longer battery, etc. Any thoughts?

Quite honestly, this little light (although cool), is not really that great for a high power laser mod. I only showed this because Kip Kay had a piece of junk build that was getting too much attention, and I wanted to show how to do it correctly.

For my build, a 14650 is the largest battery it will fit...

But for 1 Watt neighborhood:

I would recommend 1 Amp with a 445 diode. Which would be 1 Watt with a 405-G-1 glass lens. But about 875mA's with an AixiZ 445 lens.

The AixiZ 445 lens gives a better looking dot with this multimode diode at about 15 to 20% less power than the 405-G-1. See lens comparisons here:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/445nm-a130-lens-comparisons-51456.html

Even so, 875mW's is very bright and dangerous too. Proper eye protection is a must. It will instantly damage the eye with a direct shot or even a reflection off a shiny object.

Also, spend the extra money on a quality AW brand 18650 battery:
AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

Any of my 18650 kits will do fine with a 1 Amp setting. It's just a matter of which one 'tickles your fancy'. But I do not include diodes. You can get the 445 diode here:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/445nm-diodes-stock-xj-a140-52076.html

People are pushing these diodes to 1.6 Amps and beyond. So I have some new 'monster build' kits using large Maglights. My newest one will be a Maglite 2 D using 2 X 32600 Li-Ions with a FlexModP3 driver:

More normal kits below:

Here are my 18650 kits: (several options to look through, heatsink material, lens options, EzFocus adapter, etc…)

The easiest assembly kits, are my SolarForce L2P, and my Black 18650 kit…

Yeah, this is one of the a130 445s I believe. btw, do you know a good way to test one short of buying a driver for it? I picked it up at SELEM this year, and I believe it's good, but there's always that nagging doubt in the back of my mind... I'm beginning to think 1W may be a bit much for a pointer, but on the other hand..... also, would probably go for the glass lens.

Yes it can burn very well, but let me say something about this particular kit...

Although the Mini Mag hosts are cool, it is really not the greatest kit when compared to what else is available.

I showed this kit simply because there were a ton of people talking about KipKay's Mini Mag Hack. And I wanted to show that it can actually be properly done with a driver and heatsink...

Yes it is a nice little build, but not exactly what I could classify as 'easy assembly' in comparison to some of my other kits.

Plus the heatsink is small in this one...

I do not sell the laser diode with any of my kits by the way.

Here are a couple of better kits that I would recommend: (some ones that are also 'easy assembly')

SolarForce
Black 18650
Saik
Maglite Monstor kit

All kits, lenses and stuff listed here...

Just send me a private message for ordering! :)
