We need to find the cheapest koleidoscopic laser, and make it the standard jay. "I will stock the tips and sell them on Dark Lasers" and you can stock the custom swappable aperture peice.

I'll find one for us, and buy them all so they will be in the USA. not china.

So anyone with a DIY green kit already, can just buy your adapter, and a koleidoscopic laser from me, and have a hot swappable portable green laser show/ pointer!

I will hunt for the cheapest 5mW green with a koleidoscope tip, and i will buy 20 of them. and sell 10 whole lasers, and 10 of just the tips "i'll keep the tipless lasers for other projects"

That way, someone doesnt have to buy the whole laser if they dont want to. i could sell the tip for like 5-6 bucks.

And i'll keep you guys posted on the 250mW module. I'm not sure if its DIRECTLY from o-like though. I think she may carry them though, lets hope and prey they are the real deal, a descent size "small" and 12mm's

Awsomeness, what a great addon Jay, 200mW koleidoscope... I want to know if you can see the individual beams at that power. with 5mW it just makes dots on the wall and theres no beam. but take the tip off, and even 5mW shows a beam. so im assuming 200mw WOULD show allot of beams through the tip.

Any insight/experience on that when you played with it b4 you sent it Jay?

I'll bet it will show multiple beams in the dark with that kind of power though. Probably even at 100mW's.

The dust cap that is included with your DIY Green kit fits right over the kaleidoscope tip as well!

I will offer the kaleidoscope tips pre-mounted into a custom front piece that you can just 'swap out' with your existing front piece...

Note: This tip was made for a 30mW laser, and I do not yet know for sure if the diffraction gratings will degrade with higher powers...

So we get the original custom front peice and another one that has the kaleidoscope tip mounted? To switch the two front peices we just take off the retaining ring and unscrew the front peice?

Yes, you just take off the host retaining ring, and the aluminum front pieces will just change out!

They don't screw into the host, they just slide in, and are held tight with the host retaining ring...

Yes, I would include an instruction sheet with the new tips...

You would just set the module about 1/8" farther back than normal. And also cut about 1/8" of the spring shorter. Really easy!

P.S. I have 10 of these tips on order that I want to sell, but I believe Dark is going to have different tips, with different pattern options!

So I will be directing people to him for the tips, and I will fit my DIY Green front pieces to his tips. (I will have 1 of each of his tips on hand to make sure I get the right fit)

Or, I may just send the 10 tips that I ordered to Dark, depends on what he wants to do, because it's his idea...

Wait so once you cut the spring an 1/8th of an inch shorter would you ever be able to slide the O-like module back up to its original location, and not use the Kaleidoscope front piece Wouldn,t the battery be loose if you slid it up?

Once you position the module in the 1/8" shorter (closer to the tail cap) position, you will just leave it there for either front piece...

The front piece is just a plug in the end of the host to give it a clean look, and a small exit aperture. So it will not matter if the beam travels some extra distance inside the host before it exits the custom front piece...

Oh ok cool! Hopefully whatever module I get from O-like will have the beam exiting the module not at a slight angle.

Most seem nice and straight!

But even the ones that are off, are not off any where near far enough to cause any issues exiting the host. That would have to be WAY OFF!

With the kaleidoscope tips on the front of the module should be sticking out .45 in or 11.43 mm for anyone who was wondering. Those equation are just where the normal module should go minus 1/8 of an inch.
