Mohrenburg,

Could I get a price from you for a $219 BDR-205 Newegg Diode,

Pressed and soldered to a 320mA Flexdrive?

Would the $66 go down any because you don't have to assemble the driver? But then again.... the flexdrive is more expensive.. Please get back to me!
Thanks!

It would actually raise it about $10 dollars. It's a steep price i know, If the drives ever go lower in price it won't cost as much. But if i only charge 10-20 dollars profit on an 8x, Then I would have to sell 10-20 more 8x modules if I were to make up a mistake, just to break back even. So far i haven't had any 8x diodes die on me....but you never know what may happen (and i don't count the BDR-S03 incident)

Yes, Matt is a craftsman with the 8x (I was one of the lucky few that, besides Matt, have witnessed the magnificence of it. I would definitely trust him with an 8x* , (the F03's don't count as 8x) as his word is worth ten times its weight in gold.

Alright i'll be looking forward to it.

I just got back from a 12 hour drive transporting a patient..and then finished assembling the last 30 fixed Micro-Drives from rkcstr...once these are gone, they're gone forever :( then i'll be switching over to adjustable ones.

Anyways, I've got homework and real work in the morning. So i'm off to bed.

Hey, finally got my module today and it is awesome! Divergence isn't great, but the reason I got it was for burning so it doesn't bother me much. Thanks!

Jayrob's 405-G1 Lens will allow you to focus to infinity, plus it will let more of your lasers' power through!

Mo,

will there be any performance difference on that 12X if we used The v4 flexdrive, as opposed to the v5?

They will focus to infinity as long as you press them in all the way. They just aren't very good for long distance pointing like green and red are.

hey guys, Can I get some specs? What kind of input voltage would I need on the LPC 250mw red? I'm considering buying this. What would be a good host to use?

The LPC needs a MINIMUM of 5.25v, and you should not give it more than 12v otherwise you risk damaging the driver...thats why usually 2x 3.6v lithium batteries work best.

I personally like the coleman max CR2 flashlight at wal-mart.

Oh man, I was planning on making myself one with the exact same current and parts, but it would cost me at least the same amount as you're charging (maybe I just need to find cheaper suppliers)

PM sent for an lpc

Replied. Assuming i get payment, i'll have your module shipped out in the morning. i don't really get them any cheaper. I got a bulk discount for buying the rest of ryan drivers, but other than that i pay the same as everyone else.
I think after shipping and parts cost (not counting solder or radioshack rainbow wire), it leaves $8 profit (for LPC and PHR)

So yeah, i think $8 is a great price for assembling and settings the driver then harvesting and setting the diode and soldering the driver on.
