Will these modules work in any of the more "common/popular" hosts, like the MXDL and the Coleman from WalMart?

Is there any real (i.e. functional) difference between the two red diodes you list?

I'm really leaning towards getting a red module from you! Thanks for offering these!

The LOC and LCC are pretty much the same.

These modules will work with the coleman, and is probably one of the easiest builds available. I know they also work with some of jayrob's MXDL kits too.
If the build is compatible with a rkcstr driver (more than 1 lithium battery), then yes it will work with these modules.

Got my PHR-803t module today. I don't have any way to try it out yet, it doesn't do too well on 6V. But I will post up when I get it working. Thanks again!

I'm using the 3405 host from jayrob i recommend that..you using 10440 batteries you get from dealextreme...

Yeah, in fact I just pm'd him, and I was just looking at 10440's! So you like the 3405 host? Is there a good place to solder the negative to the case?

I opted for the lead wires for $10 because i'm lazy, but you just remove the pill the wire that's sticking out is positive and then the rim of it is the negative so just do like this guy did....I guess YouTube - MXDL Bluray Laser Hack Tutorial ignore the language he's speaking.... i don't understand it either, but it's the only tutorial i found..

EDIT: oh btw dealextreme shipping is extremely slow...so it might be a while get rechargeable batteries..

Thanks for the video outlawz, doesn't get much easier than that. Now I just need jayrob to get back to me and I'll be in business.

It might start dimming at 7.2 volts. Try a 9v battery.

Yeah waiting is by far the most irritating thing about this hobby.

Oh, and it also sucks up cash pretty quick!

Yeah at first i was going to use the mini mag one because kipkay is what made me get into all this.. then i was looking around forums(This is the best forum i found :D) and trying to get it right then i saw mxdl and it's best host by far that i like.. at first i was going to build a green so i bought a module from *****************.com(I lost the module or my cousins stole it $34 gone) so that's $44 to a waste... pretty much maybe a lil more

Yeah, I remember seeing a kipkay video about it quite a while ago, but I was finishing up college and I thought to myself... as soon as I have some time and money (after college, of course), I'm going to build one of those. And here I am.

I expect the 3405's this week. DX shows that they were shipped on 11/27.

This host is hard to keep stocked. It is popular, and also, DX gets back ordered too. So when that happens, it makes me run out of the ones that I keep on hand...
