Jay, is the price for the modified 405-G-1 for 445nm diodes the same as the original 405-G-1 lens?

If you mean the 'small aperture' 405-G-1, yes...

Same price. It's just that you have to tell me about it when you order. I didn't make a FS thread for it, because it was just an experiment. Turns out it's not too bad!

But I must be honest and say that I still like the AixiZ 445 lens better for the 445 multimode diode...

That 'small aperture' 405-G-1 it pretty sweet for a blu-ray though!

So how does the new Aixiz 445 lens compare to the old Aixiz 405 lens? I'm currently using the old Aixiz 405 lens (the half-threaded one). I get 445mW@604mA with the Aixiz 405 and I get 480mW with the 405-G-1. I've attached some pics of the laser in the Dorcy Metal Gear host. That copper module you made fits perfectly in there. I'm using thermal adhesive tape to hold the module in place.

Hey Jayrob have you tested the 405-G-1 blu ray lense against the aixiz glass lens? If so what were the results?

Also if I purchased the full assembly would you be willing to throw in a dust cover with it?
