Well, you were so busy Igor... (and still are) Backed up with laser orders! And for good reason.

Then you had those other issues take you by surprise... but it's a good thing now that your back.

When I send you my 405-G-1 glass lens mod, you can hopefully use the same lens nut and see if your lens fits in, and if so, how the focus is. That is, how much of a gap there will be between the face of the AixiZ module and the back of the AixiZ focus ring at focus.

That is, if the lenses are the same diameter.

Also, this modification must screw all the way down inside the AixiZ module. Just to let you know that the Sure modules don't work, because the lens threads don't go all the way down. But if I know ahead of time, I can machine some of the threads off the lens nut, and it will fit in a Sure module...

Hey did you get those key chain hosts that I sent back to you like months ago? Just wondering if you ever got them, and if you built one with a 10280 battery...

I DID get the key-chain hosts you modified for me! Completelly unexpected, and very nicelly surprised.

Man i never got to thank you for that! Thank you VERY much! You did a great job (as always).. :)

Can't wait to put one together!!!



In fact i was just looking at them a few moments ago, and trying modules in on them for tightness.. I have this 100mW Nichia diode i have to kill and it just happens to be in a sure module (tighter fit!), so i'll put it into a keychain build and torture the hell out of it... ;)

(I was gonna put it through hell before, but then i ended up there myself. So don't be surprised, if you see me taking it all out on various expensive diodes.... :evil:)


Oh, and i don't need your lens modified for Sure's.. I barelly ever use them, and my v3 Heatsink/Modules have the lens nut hole threaded down to the very bottom....

Couldn't have a better host for torture! A key chain can be carried at all times for often use!

I'll be shipping your 405-G-1 glass lens mod tomorrow. Along with your Kryton Ezfocus adapter...

Post some pictures and details of your Key chain/Nichia build! :)

And of course, I am really looking forward to your comparisons with the lens...

Yo Jay, it's been seven days since and I was starting to get a wee bit nervous but I got my goody bag today, yeaaaah boiiiiiz :wave:

But shed not a tear for the man, for he is surrounded by v3 NoAixiZ modules... :cool:

I haven't had a chance to try the Teflon version because I've got... now how does Igor always put it... oh yes, "real work" to do & I already put in a 10hr day... :wtf:

I did however light up those crackled marbles - too cool :D

Yeah those heatsink designs are awesome alright...

Not that I need another laser, but I just may have to try and talk you into selling me one or two of those Igor! :) And I'll twist your arm for the exact host to order...

Oh that's right! You paid for some flash paper that I put in that package...

Sounds like you ignited some! :)

I found that you can just tear about 1/3 off those little sheets, roll it into a ball, and it is plenty for a good flash.

As you know, the AixiZ module is brass. This 405-G-1 glass lens modification is using the brass nut from the AixiZ glass lens...

Got my lens installed today. I'm just using Teflon tape and it works great. I don't have a machine to measure the power increase so no idea on that. But by sticking my hand in front of it I can tell there is definitely more power. This is with a PHR-803T.

Dang jay! I was trying to shorten my aixis spring but then while trying to make the shorten spring flat on both sides it sprung away.... You have an extra aixis spring or a shortened aixis spring you could throw in with my order?

What do you mean it sprung away?
Were you on the toilet, and accidentely flushed it down or something? :toilet:
