I take it your waiting for AixiZ 405nm lenses still?

Yes, still waiting on lenses... I have a back log of orders for this kit, as well as for the Stainless Steel 18650 kit.

I hate not being able to ship fast like I normally can.

Some orders are just waiting on the AixiZ 445 lens. But others (newer ones), are also waiting on hosts...

For all of those waiting on orders from me, I will take good care of you if can be patient.

I will be filling orders 'per date ordered' as long as I have all the parts on hand.

If any of you change your mind, just PM me for a refund. No problem there. Please don't do a PayPal complaint or anything like that...

18650 kits shipped today: (Wednesday)

Shixxor ('Hot' option @ 800mA's, longer copper heatsink, 405-G-1, and other items)

Varsis ('Hot' option @ 450mA's, copper press fit heatsink, 650-G-1, and other items)

Hope you guys like the kits!

Got my hot kit a few days after ordering. It took me 10 minutes to press the diode, solder the two wires and put it all together. This is a great kit. Feels very solid. Jayrob makes it very easy to put it all together. Still wanting one of the Glass Aixiz lenses when they come in.

It is running at 950mA's and is amazing.

I posted some pics and a video of it burning through a black cd case in under 1 second.

Thanks Jayrob.

Thinking of another build with a driver set to 1.5A.

Update:

For those who have orders for kits with me...

I just received another order of hosts today. But I have a back log of orders that I must fill on a 'date paid' basis to be fair to everybody.

Please continue to be patient and I will definitely get to your kit in the order it was placed...

Thanks for being so patient. I hope that when I get caught up (a couple of weeks), that I can keep plenty of hosts on hand and get back to my normal delivery times. (normally pretty fast)

I will contact you as I ship, and post as well.

P.S. I'm the biggest double and triple poster on the forum!

But I just want to say that it is only in my FS threads. There is a method to my madness. I use the information to check on when responding to questions I get on orders shipped...

Thanks again for your patience! :)

Talk to you soon!

Aren't you glad that your customers are more patient then those that preordered the WL Arctic?

Ouch!!!

Man I normally ship within a couple of days...

This back log is about only a couple of weeks...

That does not compare with WL... :wtf:

You will get a reply from me almost immediately about questions or concerns. Also, if you change your mind before I ship, just let me know and I will refund within minutes...

Please don't compare me with WL. I take that personal... I hope you didn't mean it that way...

No man, no insult intended. I was making light of the situation and getting a kick out of the Arctic people freaking out. But in spite of delays with this sale, which is out of the norm for a jayrob sale, everyone is calm and collected. I expected a delay when I ordered, no complaining from me. Just cracking a joke, mostly at WL and their customer's expense.

Ok cool...

I took your order off the bottom of the stack and put it back into it's proper position by 'date ordered'. ... jk

I have to work through these orders as fair as possible. But now that I have a lot of hosts on hand, I should be able to get caught up reasonably soon...

Jayrob, Thanks for the fast delivery. I assembled my 18650 last night and it works beautifully! The most difficult procedure was soldering but with the help of a set of hobby clamps (with magnifying lens for us old folks) it was completed in no time. I'd give you a beam shot, but there are enough of those on other posts. There seems to be a lot of happy customers for this little kit.

I'm glad I opted to buy the ez-focus. I can hold the host and focus the beam single-handed with ease.

Thanks again,
Gear

My host has developed an issue w/ the switch. It doesn't work when screwed in.. It used to work when I loosened it a little. Now it has to be almost all the way unscrewed to turn on.
Can't figure it out! There was a bunch of aluminum oxide in the threads that I washed off and it might have helped a little. But, it's still bad. Any advice on what to try to fix it?

Thanks

edit - I checked the switch for continuity and irregardless of how much pressure I put on the spring, I always get a solid connection.
