Yes, of course Igor assembles top-notch 660nm lasers too and yes, he did mention it in this thread (although the thread is primarily a BR thread) but you will need to email him to get a price / place an order. The red has it's own price (much less than a 6X but I'm not certain of the exact price).

Please be aware that Igor is extremely busy with a number of BR orders as well as other projects so that it might take him a while to get to you. I would also like to point out that member Likeitbright is also making very nice lasers - with custom heatsinks - in similar hosts. You can read up on his work in this thread. I also noted that a member is selling one of Likeitbright's reds here.

I have ordered from both members and thus I believe that they, among several other LPF veterens, are commited to making great lasers and supporting this community

I'm not even sure people in Batch #1 Europe have received their orders yet.

There was a batch one person from the Netherlands (I believe) that posted that he received his batch 1 6X blu ray from Igor.

that is an automatic reply, everybody will get that email if they try to get in touch with him, he set it up.
i tried his business email couple of weeks ago and few days ago but no reply.......................

Yes, sorry - I should have made that more clear - I posted the auto-reply as a joke. As I mentioned before he is only replying to certain people, and I do not appear to be one of them. I also sent the same email to his address that I paid him with and no reply. Regardless of what the deal is, I am upset that he can't answer a one-line email (the first I've sent checking status in a MONTH) for people that have paid him... yet people placing new orders can get a return email quite quickly. And for some reason, 2 other members I know of (one of whom is NOT waiting for an order) can also get emails.

At $269.00USD, I would have thought answering a single email per month wouldn't be too much trouble.

Don't feel bad. Igor promised me a module in December. 10 emails of promises and almost 2 and a half months later and my mailbox is still empty. I know he is busy but he shouldn't keep accepting orders that he cant deliver in a timely manner. Its just bad business.

to be honest my uncle (he owes a "science" shop in itlay) wanted to get some quality lasers to start selling in his shop.
so i talked to him about igor...after showing my uncle all the pretty pics and telling him i was waiting for one of these beauty he said "i probably will buy some, but i want to have a look at yours first"...of course he didn't immagine he would take this long, but most of all he is really concerned about the "customer service" side of the deal.
i also showed my uncle all the emails i got from Igor, answering all my questions and was he happy to see such a good pre-sale customer support!!!! he now is a bit concerned as he knows i tried to get in touch with igor few times now, and as Jriga said , afetr spending 350$ (in my case) a person will expect a reply....maybe not the same day but at least an answer.......and the way other people are looking at this is (as somebody else said) bad businness

New buyers bring in fresh money.

I've read about quite a few similar cases over at CPF. Respected long-time community members with high quality custom work, who got more and more requests and took on more than they could handle, desperately juggling to keep things in the air until their hobby-business model crashed all around them. I don't think anyone ever recovered once it's gotten that bad. But there's always hope...

I would take Jriga's accusation(s) with a grain of salt. He's obviously hit his breaking point (it's a bit hard to blame him but still...). But let's just say, for the sake of argument, that he's right. Let's not forget that the DIYers on this forum are essentially mad scientists, machinists, etc. that have the ability to build incredible things that you and I can't (well, at least I can't).

As such, you will get stuff like power versus Time graphs from Igor, but he won't send Customer Service letters. Not to 50-some odd community members. And mind you, he's not even doing this for his own economical gain (not that anyone should be prevented from doing so, particularly in these economically-challenging times...  :'() He's doing it in the pursuit of Science (read: AR-coated Glass Lenses for us, the community  )


So look, I'm no monk myself and as a fellow clueless-buyer, I wouldn't mind getting a response either but if either you or Jriga or anyone else for that matter can't understand what it means to have taken on 56 builds as part of a hobby, then... there's nothing left to say, is there...  :-X

anyhow, and i don't want to repeat myself, no one is going against igor.....customers are just concerned about why he won't reply emails (just a silmple line,) to customers whom paid quite a while ago when he would reply to "new"customers....i understand it's fresh money but whaere does that leave us??
everybody knows he is extremely busy but.....c'mon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!no time for replying emails to customers??dunno :

Ok, now that most of the stuff has been delivered and the last packages are starting to show up, i think i owe you guys an explanation.


I haven't told this to many people, and normally this isn't something i would talk about, cos it's kinda "personal", altho that's not the right word. But it has affected some of you, so maybe it's better if i explain...

I did have a tremendous amount of work simultaneously with the lasers, but that's not the only reason, nor the main one. Work i can handle, at worst i work through a night (or four), and sort it out...


But i've been having some serious problems in the last couple of months. Problems related to my real work. Not the work itself, but the bureaucratic side of it...


It's like this. My accountant is AWOL. She is gone. Missing. I can't find her. I can't reach her in any way. She has simply dissapeared.

That would be bad enough by itself at any time. But it is March. And March 31st is the day, when the tax-mafia (known as the IRS in US) expects the finantial report for the previous fiscal year, OR ELSE...


I have until the end of this month - that's less than 20 days - to prepare and file the finantial report. I called other accounting services, for help and advice, but they won't take me and can't do anything. Not just because it's late, but also cos my old one has all my papers from last year! I have only one option at my disposal - i HAVE to find her!


This situation has been pressuring me for the past two months. And the closer it gets to "D day", the more stress i am under.

You don't mess with the tax-mafia in my country... The reprecautions are horrible. Regular mafia just breaks your fingers, but they can usually still be reasoned with... With the tax-mafia, the date of submitting one paper can mean the difference between life or "death".. The fine for not submitting the paperwork in time is such, that it would ruin me. I could even go to jail, if i couldn't afford to pay it...


I NEED to solve this thing. I don't have a choice. And the only way to solve it, is to find my accountant. There is one other possibility. I can ask the tax-mafia to make an "estimate" of my finances. But from what i've heard, those estimates are usually not very friendly to the business being estimated...



For the past two months, when i wasn't working, i was running around, trying to solve this. I've been to every location i know she has worked or lived at, i talked to all the people i've seen there before, and i've even been staking out some places, where i was hoping to see her. No one knows where she is, and sitting in the car for half a day in front of her old building didn't do any good either.


Last week i found some other customers of hers, who are in the same situation and are also looking for her. They also knew some others, so now there is a whole group of us and we are working on a solution together. If we can't find her soon, someone suggested using a private investigator, cos there isn't much time left. After we find her, she still has to DO the paperwork, and that takes some time as well...



This is the reason i am under so much stress. Why i have been unavailable for the past few weeks. With this on top of everything else, i almost had a nervous breakdown.. I feel a bit better now, cos i hope that together with the others it will be easier to solve, than alone...


But solving this situation is the number one most important priority in my life right now. It has affected my work, it has affected my sleep, it has even affected you, there is hardly an area of my life this has not affected.

But i have not forgotten about any one of you, i still did the work, be it "real" or laser related. At worst it just took longer, than it normally would. I'm sorry about that, and i trully hope, that you can understand.

For you it'll all be over in a couple of days, for me... At the end of this month, i will either feel a LOT better, or a hell of a lot worse. And i'm gonna do everything in my power, so that it is not the latter.



I am sorry that i let this affect you, and i am grateful for everyone's trust and patience. Even the "impatient ones" have actually been patient with me. It could have been much worse, but you all showed a lot of trust, not even knowing what is going on.



I explained the situation to my main "real work" customer, and they extended some of my deadlines, to allow me to sort this out first.

As for the lasers. The only thing not finished yet is batch #3, but i haven't collected payments for it either.. I will finish it, hopefully this week, at which point i will contact batch #3 people with the PP details....

But as i said, solving the accountant problem is priority #1 right now, because if it isn't sorted out, it could have life altering consequences for me. So if it takes a bit longer, please understand..


Whatever happens, i will not let anyone down. Ever. I just REALLY need to solve this thing, and i need to solve it yesterday!

Well Igor,
I think your post left everyone speechless but let me be the first to thank you for taking the time and "opening up" to us, even though the latter was quite a private and personal decision.

I wish you the best of luck and just remember that your health is more important than, yes, even the business you've clearly worked so hard to build up. So take care of yourself and again, good luck...

that is really bad mate!!!
hope you manage to sort everything out, don't worry about beeing late on posting your lasers, sort this out first without getting a nervous breakdown, im sure people will understand!!
