well i got an awesome pocket mini from jayrob in usa in 20 days with no problem with postal service.
(you pm'd me ?No pm in my box).
By the way i wouldn't like to be the "guastafeste" (sorry a little joke with my italian friend ;) , it 's like troublemaker) i'am just a little worried ;)
I PM'd who he had quoted. The reason you got your package so quickly is because the US postal service actually has standards. Despite how close you are to igor (still in a different country), you have to go through 2 customs checks, some shitty postal services, and then time for delivery!

also, how far can you light a match.
I have a kryton 6x that can burn red matches at 6 ft when focused just right. Same with ANY colored balloon.

Igor recently told me that Batch 2 was released by customs recently! :D:D:D:D

How's that for an update? We should be getting our shit soon.
Only 6 feet??? I did a match light on a white head match from 10 feet, and I believe a balloon pop can be achieved from 25 + feet!!!

Hello everyone, I've registered a while back and been lurking here, patiently waiting for my IgorT (R) (TM) to arrive, and lately I've been checking the forums on a daily basis... I avoided posting because it is obvious you can't speed things up when they are out of your control.

I was hoping my first post would've shown some nice beamshots, alas time seems to have stopped in that regard :-/ -- however, I decided to post now in order to clear a misunderstanding that seems common throughout here, as ilustrated in the above quote: Slovenia is part of the EU. Most other countries in Europe are as well. Therefore, there is no customs check for packages travelling between Italy/Germany/UK/etc. and Slovenia, let alone "two" of them. I order sporadically from German, UK and Hungarian shops and products arrive at my normal post office (not the "external deliveries") one in about 5-7 days after being sent. Packages from overseas (US, Middle East, Hong Kong) usually take at most 14 days and they arrive at the special "customs" post-office.

That being said, it is clear why european forum members are concerned -- since people are starting to receive their lasers in the US, it is very strange for them to take more than a week in transit inside the EU. That's why they are asking. And unfortunately the previous posts were never clear in this regard, only specifically catering to the US orders.

We all know Igor is not to blame here, and nobody does that. We also know that things can go wrong at the post office, and that's why all that's been asked was for a clearing up of the situation, so that we know who is resposible for the delay -- Slovenian post, snow storms, holidays or our own national post. In my case it is important to know because I may have to leave with business, and if the package arrives in my absence and I don't pick it up in 10 days it will be sent back/destroyed/whatever -- now wouldn't that be a terrible pity?

Anyway, thank you Th0ughts for taking the time to clear things up, I think we can all rest assured now that the packages are on their way and will be with us shortly. I hope Igor is alright and he's not become annoyed with all the fuss this batch has caused, and maybe after some free time for R&R he will come back -- I for one plan to order more goodies form him after I receive my first. So here's to patience!

Best regards,

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

hey guys, im from batch 2. got mine on monday. from california so was able to get it quickly from igor's stateside connection. took some pics but lpf wont let me post cuz i dont have 10 posts yet. its nothing new anyways.

first off, as everyone says, its a great build. so solid you wouldnt even believe it was custom made. ive been burning stuff left and right. up close (one foot or closer) it lights matches and burns paper instantly (you definitely dont want to put anything in its way once its focused). farthest ive tested burning paper (thermal) is 26 feet. i was wondering if it was hot at all at that length. the answer is yes, it will heat up your finger at 26 feet, lol. after about a minute it will light a match at that distance too. i dont have any balloons so havent tested that out.

igor, words cannot describe how awesome you are. thanks a lot, sir.

That's doing bad things for my anxiety, being another tier 2'er and knowing that it's coming soon. :)

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Hey guys. I almost wish you would not post the reviews (joking!). I swear, the anticipation is going to kill me! I been waiting quietly (mostly) since early january. Paid on the 14th.

Last week I built my first laser with a blu-ray module from daguin. Its only 25mW but it is the best pointer I ever saw. It got me really pumped about my 6X IgorT at 180mW! I need more pics!
No wait, I dont either.
Crap, yes I do.
Man, I need another pill!
MORE PICS PLEASE

Per the above posts - it hasn't been "a month". It's been about 10-12 days. And you've had your answer many times over - yes it has been posted!

it has been a month, just read what he said....
and what was the answer to my question?u certainly didn give it to me, th0ughts did..anyway ;)
i agree with what  mgc8 said, there are no customs within europe!

For me it's been 3 weeks and four days...
He still didn't reply even though I sent him on his buisiness mail, but I can understand that it takes more than 12 hours to reply. The thing I fail to understand is that he ignored two of the two messages I sent him long time ago.

BTW I lived for 2 years in Italy, but I've never got any problems with their postal service, BUT I have to agree that Italians are often late (you know they even have a special collumn on the trains/airport schedule just for the delays, whereas in other place, it is the status they put on the schedule board, such as "delayed" or "on time" etc).

Wait... what? Are you sure you're a Batch #2? It was my understanding that Batch #2A and #2B were shipped together in 1 single multipack to the USA. It is also my understanding that you got your laser on Monday - which would mean it was shipped Saturday. This was the day Glenn sent (via USPS) Batch #1 lasers out. I'm fairly sure you were in Batch #1.

Batch #2 has not arrived in the USA yet (or if it has, it hasn't been posted in this thread by Glenn or Igor).

But I did - it's just that my answer was not good enough for you.  I can tell you the DAY Batch #2 was shipped by simple reading through this thread.

And guess what?  It WASN'T A MONTH AGO.  It was about 10-12 days ago.  It makes no difference what the other posted said or thought or was told - all that matters at this point is when the thing was actually shipped.  And that was 10-12 days ago.

And with that - I'm  :-X done.

Anyway, multipack is on it's way to US! Just a few packages left to ship, to some other countries, closer to me.

Shipped on Feb 17th 2009.  That is EXACTLY 12 business days.  :-/

I think I'm checking out of this thread.   ;D  I'll post a review once my laser arrives, with high definition video and FullHD 10MP photos as well.

For those of you that skip to the end of the thread and read it backwards looking for info:

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BATCH #1 OR BATCH #2 IS IN THIS THREAD.  Keep reading, you'll find it.  I especially recommend pages 60-80.   ::)

And with that : JRIGA is out.   [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well, I didn't receive a batch two, I wonder if Igor moved that unit up to batch one??? I bet batch two in the USA is soon to be here though.  :-?
