Re: FS: >110mW & >150mW Blu-Rays - available

Today, I made a white tipped paper match ignite from 10 feet away with my IgorT blu-ray laser, this is a new record distance for me. Can anyone top it with a white tipped match? :D

it's going to be so amazing im going to need a car park :D

But 10' thats amazing, have you tried using tippex to paint the head white? not sure if it'd work tippex has quite a glossy finish, but the botttle say's extremley flammable [smiley=evil.gif]......might be worth a try!

The match being white is the point... ;)

Blu rays can burn white things too. And Scopeguy's latest laser has 164mW....

Aah, this means that I'll need the new lens #2 to get his output power, but he will surely get the lens too, so.... no hope! :-/ (till to the next laser....) ;)

Oh yeah I realise they can burn white things  ;), I remember some of your earlier posts about cutting circles out of paper ;D, I just wondered what effect it would have on tippex, still was completely surprised ::) by scope guys 10'.

I can imagine Scopeguy smiling with satisfaction for his new jewel :D.
...and I can imagine how Sam is anxious to receive his new one... ;)

What's nice is that we all are enthusiasts of the damn'd good work that Igor has done/is doing/will do! [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Well, that's the only thing that kept me going for so long..

I didn't want to dissapoint everyone after promissing them lenses. And now, after six failed lens models, and three good ones, we're at 26-43% power increase for PHRs!!!

This is bizzare! Every so often i still fear i'll wake up. ;D

Well, if that was his first blu ray, i would not dare set it so high! In fact, even for the third, i did not want to set it that high, because rarelly can a PHR survive 160mA for too long. That's why i don't like setting them much higher than 110mW! So instead i gave him my one and only 160mA surviver, when he asked for the high current PHR laser...

Woha, it looks you're stripping yourself to satisfy your aficionados.... :)
I have been able to burn a wooden match with a light pink head at a distance of 116 inches, then I painted white the head of a similar one, but ...nothing. :-/

Ok, I'm glad for Scopeguy, I'm not jealous....

Well, now I'll wait for the completion of all your tests, what is interesting me is the divergence.... I have checked my red in comparison with Dilda, at a distance of 3 meters: looking with the safety glasses the dots look identical in size.
I have then checked my blue in comparison with the DL Viper 95mW: at the same distance (and always with safety glasses) the blue dot is a 30% smaller that the green one. :D

Well yeah, i have sacrificed a lot for this. And to be honest, i did not expect it to be this hard! I almost wanted to quit several times!

But now, your trust and support will finally be rewarded!  :D

Everyone will now get the chance to have the highest power blu rays possible without shortening their lives!  But you are the ones, that made it possible! ;)
That was the whole purpose of this whole thing, and it finally yielded results...

And not just any results.

Amazing, fantastic, brilliant, unforgettable, world changing and life altering results ;D..........have I gone to far :D

My battries and charger came today ;D, Igor do you know if the charger is polarity sensetive as I don't have any adaptors so I was just gonna cut the plug of and attach a UK one but didn't know if I need the leads a certain way round.

Re: FS: >110mW & >150mW Blu-Rays - available

You mean charger input polarity. No, that's mains... It's AC. It goes both ways anyway....

Just be extra super careful, and make triple sure that the connections in the new plug are firm and secure and that nothing is shorted, much less exposed.

I think the charger says 110-220V, right? If you do it correctly, it'll be fine. Mains plugs are reversible aren't they? At least in most countries they are. But i think some countries have plugs with three pins, where one is GND, and those are not mechanically reversible. But it really doesn't matterl AC goes "both ways". That's why it's AC. ;)

Re: FS: >110mW & >150mW Blu-Rays - available

yeah it's 110-220v hopefully it can handle the 240v we get in the UK :D super fast charging :D

Plugs here do have 3 pins with an internal fuse, so I'll Ignore the ground pin and fit a 3 amp fuse I can't see this thing drawing any more than that.

Thanks for your help Igor and yes I will be careful and be sure to check all the connections are good before sealing it up again.
