It arrivde :DThis laser is so nice and well made it could be CNI that made it ;D It is an BIG differens in beam visibility of my boxy 80mw and my 103mw BR.
THANK YOU!
P.s. I think that was the best laser deal i ever made.So much qualety for so less Euros. ::)

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Thank you Alex!

That's great to hear! I am really glad you like it, and i hope you enjoy it VERY much!

I managed to make each and every one who ordered an >80mW laser, a >100mW laser.. ;) I got left with five diodes, that were too weak to be used in your lasers, but at least then i can use them for high current testing without being sorry if one dies...

That way i can learn how high the lasers can safelly be set.. I only selected the most efficient diodes for your lasers, meaning there are no imperfections in the die, and they need less current for a certain power, so they will also live longer.

Soon, i will also get custom warning labels for all your lasers, thanks to andy_con... Then i'll send them to everyone in a letter.

P.S. Yeah, i remember, that your ~10mW blue ray from ebay cost 50% more, than the >100mW now.. Too bad you didn't find this forum first, huh?

It's here! :D But, hmm... those notches on the battry contact board are absolutely miniscule (0.5mm) I don't have any tools small enough to grab them. What do I do? :O

DISREGARD THAT COMPLETELY

I just pulled it off with big tweezers and a little force. :D

Mini-Review Time!
-It was definitely not as bright as I expected, but then I realized, hey, it's bordering on UV, what can I expect?
-Burns awesomely, as well as my Dilda. You can't hold your hand in the focus for more than a second.
-The focus knob and the finish on the whole laser are so smooth! I just can't stop touching it! :D
-It looks like this on my dad's desk! I swear! :D Pics to come of that!
-My sister and mother love it (it's purple, duh)
-It's so nice and compact!
-I can use the coolest damn 'safety glasses' in the world, my metal effect aviators!

I need to get me some GITD stuff!!

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Haha! It's there? GREAT! :D

I'm so happy!

Anyway, did you follow the undisguising instructions?!? Did you tighten the module back into the head? It has to be flush with the upper edge! This is important for heatsinking! If you didn't do that, please follow the instructions i sent you in your email! Did you even read them? It's a big file with lot's of pictures and instructions...

When the lens cap is screwed in place with the module, the module is moved down a bit. When you remove the lens cap you have to screw the module a millimeter or two deeper into the head. You just need tweezers for it.

P.S. And when i told you that the new host is so pretty that i can't stop touching it, you were disgusted. Now you're saying the same thing... ;D

Just wait for the night.. It's gonna be amazing!

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

I didn't unscrew the module at all, I just tweezed the cap and it pulled out. And about touching the host... fine, you were right.

The other torch (the real one) doesn't work. It runs on 14500's as well right? o_O

Oh, and how do I focus to infinity?

Hey, Hugh, how did the package come through? Was it even opened by the customs? Was it confusing enough for them? ;)

Stan's package is safelly in your hands, right?

Stan's package is in my hands, but you know, I might sort of drop it by accident. You know how I am, clumsy and such....

So how d'ya focus to infinity?

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Oh man.. No! The other torch runs off regular AAs..

You killed it.. ;D

Anyway, if you just pulled the cap out, you now need to tighten the module into the head, so that the heatsink is flush with the edge. This is important for the heatsinking, when it's left on for longer, and also, it looks better..

Not having it tightened in is... Well.. Just wrong.

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

It's tight, I checked. The module lines up perfectly with the edge. :)

And I killed the torch did I? Your fault. =P Though I should've known, really. Don't Cree's do something cool when you kill them? Normal LEDS go bang. :D

And again, how do you focus to infinity?

So how d'ya focus to infinity?

You point it at the most distant wall, and turn the lens untill the spot is the smallest.. The lens has to be screwed in almost completelly for this - the metal focusing ring just a little away from the heatsink.

If you then point it at an object further away, you may notice it's larger, so you can adjust it then, to make it small. With this strange color, it helps if you squint your eyes a little..

The best way to focus it to infinity is to put those glasses on someone else, send them to the wall you focus it at, and have them tell you when the spot is the smallest.

Anyway, after you tighten the module into the head, focusing will also be easier, as the metal focusing ring will stick further out. Please follow the instructions i sent you to your email!

The notches you have to put the tweezers in are not on the board! They are in the edges of the aluminum module right at the inner wall of the head! Do not poke the board!

Tightening the module should be VERY easy with the lens cap removed. It'll just turn. But when it stops, you also have to make it a little tight.

Please do this, as it is very important for the laser being perfect. If you need additional instructions ask me.

So you did tighten it? Cool! That is important, so i wanted to sort that out first..

Well, you are right, i never mentioned the torch needs regular AAs. And it's not a CREE torch. It's the wrong host model, that was delivered to me, after i ordered more of what i used for the prototype. Besides, it was only included for the benefit of the customs.. ;)

Since i have WAY too many of them, i can just send you another one. However, i think i also put 14500s into one of them once.. I don't remember if it was killed completelly or if it just became dimmer once on the right battery. I think it just went dimmer..

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

BTW, you're the second one, who didn't follow the instructions for undisguising.. I made them with a purpose! I spent like two hours, hoping people would use them...

Everyone else, PLEASE follow the instructions FIRST, if you're receiving a disguised lazor! Do not rush!
First, test the disguised laser with the cap still on - the cap has to glow - this way you know the laser works.
Then follow the instructions to the letter! Then play with the lazor! ;)

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Ah, don't worry, I didn't poke the board. :p

Trust me, you probably didn't want me to be pulling at the module, it was easier to just tug the cap off at the end. I made sure it was tight straight after.

I don't get why people say it's a 'weird colour', or that it has a 'ghostly' effect. Seems fine to me.

Igor gets moar repz right now for making me a secksy lazor. :D

Haha, thanks! ;) I am VERY happy, that you like it!

About the weird ghostly colour.. That goes for the beam, not as much for the spot.. Just wait for the night.. ;)

But some people see it correctly straight away, others take a week or two, to get used to it. Some are so confused by the color, that they think there is something wrong with it..   :D

Untill i tell them to point it at their skin or their lip, that is...  ;D

Anyway, man, try cutting white paper!!!   (Just use protection glasses while doing this!)

Before this, i've NEVER seen a lazor, that could do it! White is white, because it reflects all light. And a blu ray even fluoresces on white paper, meaning the 405nm light is converted to a higher wavelength and reflected. And yet it just custs straight through!
