Hey just to warn you, this driver / emitter combination is great for 2 X Li-Ions, but not more than that...

I see you have an extension tube there, and wanted to warn you about that.

Actually, if you use 4 X NiMH batteries (or 5), it will also be very good for the driver/emitter combo, but the voltage monitor is designed for Li-Ions, and it is configured for 2 in series. (it can be configured for 2 - 7 cells)

i had a look at the driver spec, it s input has a max of 12V ye?

That what it says yes, but do not do it!

The driver was designed for P7 emitters.

And I have found out that it will kill these XM-L T6 emitters if you use 3 X Li-Ion's.

I can only guess that it is because the XM-L T6 is much more efficient than a P7 perhaps... (just guessing - maybe too much voltage gets to the emitter)

Not sure why, but do not use 3 X Li-Ion's. Just 2. It is perfect with 2 cells.

And also, the voltage monitor is already configured for a 2 cell build...

My 3D size, 3 mode version arrived last week and instantly became my favorite patrol duty flashlight. It's almost as bright as the spotlights, which is why the medium and low modes are a must. Run time is excellent! I work the graveyard shift, four days a week, and didn't need to charge it until I got a day off. I've already dropped it a few times and it still works so I know it's plenty durable too. I have a Melles G aspherical lens I'm gonna try on it. If it works out, I'll post some pics.

Thanks for posting back... Very glad to hear that it serves you well! :)

Just to clarify something. (since I just told Fiddy that it is not good with 3 X Li-Ion's)

The 3D build that I did for ColdStl, is using a 5 X 1/2 D NiMH pack. Same as is used for a Mag Charger or a Streamlight.

And here's the charger for it...

I was looking over the parts list again and it seems like the link for the driver is broken and I can not seem to locate it on their site... Any info on that?

Well I was originally looking for another set of cells for my light when I noticed the link was bad (not your fault) it looks like they changed up the site like you said. I went back to Novae to order 2 more 32650 protected cells and when I went to pay, PayPal told me that thy were unable to receive payments right now..... Hmm..... So I said whatever I can live with 32600's or some other 32 series cell. Well KD is out of stock, that Flydragon site is down, eBay is void of any, and google did not turn up any... Any suggestions where I can find 32600 or 32650 cells?
