quantities of 1 Ohm resistors...

Nice gesture, Jerry.

With 10 of them in parallel, they can also make a 0.1 ohm test resistor.

That will have very little effect on a higher ma circuit.

@LarryDFW.... Thanks...I could have ordered 0.1 Ohm Resistors
instead... but the majority of the Test Loads built and described
used 1 Ohm resistors... hence this payback to the Forum Community...

I can't believe how many members complained about not being able to locate
1 Ohm 1/2 Watt resistors for LD Test Loads at a reasonable price if at all available...

Here I'm giving them away for FREE for the price of postage and with an included
Schematic of how to assemble the Laser Diode Test Load and connect it to your
meter...

There have only been 3 members that took advantage of this FREE offer so far...

I better not hear some member complain about the difficulty of purchasing small
quantities of 1 Ohm resistors...

This offer was wayyyyyyy to good to pass up. Even if it cost me $1 shipping that is for *10* resistors. Good luck finding *1* for $1. Not happening! Plus an included test load schematic... A lot of these new folks should jump on this.

1 ohm, 1 watt carbon film resistors, $0.18 each or less depending on quantity.
294-1.0-RC

1 ohm, half watt carbon film resistors, $0.09 each or less
293-1.0-RC

and it says:-

Just saying they're not as expensive as everyone makes them out do be. Cost me about $30 shipped for enough parts to build six analog modulation capable drivers.

Your shipping costs were sky high mostly due to international shipping.

If you lived in the US an order of 10 resistors would cost about $8, so still under a dollar a piece.

I never said it wasn't a great deal

(just that these resistors are not magically expensive)

I hate to disagree with you MM... for the regular "Non - Electronics Business" members
that only need 1 or 2... it is still more expensive to pay $0.50 for the 10 Resistors and
$8.00 for Domestic shipping...($0.85 ea) ... than to send me $1.00 for the resistors and
International Shipping ($0.10ea)...

We buy in lots of 5000 for our production runs... and if we pay more than $0.02 per
resistor... we are wasting our money... I couldn't see spending $0.85 on a single resistor...

BTW... we bought 1000 of these at DigiKey last week just for the Forum Members who
would like to take advantage of this FREE Test Load Resistors offer...
There's no money in it for us...

Cost me about $30 shipped for enough parts to build six analog modulation capable drivers. Your shipping costs were sky high mostly due to international shipping. If you lived in the US an order of 10 resistors would cost about $8, so still under a dollar a piece. We buy in lots of 5000 for our production runs... and if we pay more than $0.02 per resistor... we are wasting our money... I couldn't see spending $0.85 on a single resistor... BTW... we bought 1000 of these at DigiKey last week just for the Forum Members who would like to take advantage of this FREE Test Load Resistors offer... There's no money in it for us...
