Cool thanks for the tip! I wont replace this one, because I was actually trying to make a high power build and its all sealed with arctic silver! I was aiming for 2.2W + and was quite happy with the result. Ill definitely consider the driver for a red mits 500 I was thinking of building and any subsequent blues I build. Would be a lot more convenient and by the sounds of it much more efficient. Any idea of the current stability?
I don't have an oscilloscope but I'm guessing the current is pretty stable for a $2 driver, it's powering my blue laser just fine.

That 1.8A mogasm linear rocks. Never seen the 2.5W+ out of a m140 b4 though.. nice job.

Say did you get your C2 yet Euda??

DX says it was shipped a while back. I'll let you all know.

Phobos is currently the only custom made host I am offering, but few more designs are at works.

Any word on the new designs? I am very seriously hunting for a nice host for a 532nm module to be put in. I am willing to pay a decent amount for a host that looks good (really what I'm after is looks otherwise I would just use a flashlight) and has decent heatsinking. Your phobos looks good and is well heatsinked, but it looks too much like a grenade style host for my liking. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to make a design like this, and I appreciate your hard work (and your fathers). Please just let me know how soon you plan to reveal your new host ideas. Thank you.

Hmm, what kind of host design did you want?

My Phobos design is more of a "mini RPL" or alikes, where battery barrel is bare minimum but the head is massive for great heatsinking.

Why don't your PM me with some of your ideas or sketches or whatever you have in mind, we could work something out! :)

Woah, that host looks AWESOME, man!

Except it's "temporarily" sold out [in most cases, permanently].

If anybody happens to find those in other sites, make sure to let me know!
I'd like to stock those heatsinks.

I always like to design my own with details like, having it protrude out a little bit, adding a board place on the back etc...

But if you want, I can take your advice and we'll see how it turns out :)

Yes, your heatsinks always protrude out. Maybe it is better for you when you actually have the host. :D

I'll check my funding and order it as soon as I can.

Thanks for the link! I never bought anything from Kaidomain before.. I hope they don't require an account. I hate that.

Maybe you can make a screwable heatsink for the green module. The whole front is covering the green module leaving just a small aperture for the beam. It would make the looks much better.

Yes, like that. Looks much better without seeing the brass module. No need for a focussing low power green anyway.
If you make the sink the right length, the NF-7771 host need two AA batteries to operate. Just right for the green module. No modification needed.

It does have a 17mm board pocket. You can even use the stock driver, though I have no idea of it's current output. I should probably test them out on of these days.
