Hello, I was wondering if the diode/driver combo for the Sipik host requires an additional capacitor, for voltage spikes. It is available to have 5 modes correct?

It does not require one and it can be set up with 5 mode operation.:beer:

It is high/med/low/strobe/SOS
Well I have not added one to any as of yet and have not lost a diode. But if you look through the thread I think I do remember someone was adding caps to it.:beer:

And if you want a soft start put a really big cap across the LD, like a .47 farad

Super capacitor? An ordinary capacitor with .47 farads of capacitance would be bigger than the laser!

Well I printed the label and put it in the big blue USPS mail box but since it is after 1pm here and it will not start moving till Monday.
I am lucky I have this sitting about 30 feet outside my office.
If you get your order in about 20 minutes before the last pick up time listed below CST 90% of the time it will get collected that day.

You know, It's 21:46 here now, so it was kinda amazing for me. Our post has the boxes orange, and nowhere as large, thanks for the photo.

I am not sure the minimum voltage is to run but I normally set them up to give around 1.4A @ 4.2V. If you are planning on using something different let me know and I will adjust it if possible.:beer:

Awesome. I was just wondering if I could run it off a single 18650 or 26650. I think ill be getting one of these soon. Ill keep you updated.

No problem. I am not sure if I will be able to continue to carry the NJG's. I have 6 on hand and 5 on the way.
