Do we have to recalibrate this LPM time to time?
Can we do it by ourselves?

(I know...maybe I should not ask here, but which one is better: The Laserbee II or the 5 Watt TRUE Thermopile LPM from Nospin?)

It should not need any maintenance
And the main difference is True Thermopile!

in terms of the damage thresh hold for the thermopile nospin, would a 2W focused slightly past infinity, like right bast the "pin point" be of any harm to it?

It is never good to have a "pin point" at all when metering a laser, because then there is a chance to damage the thermopile, if you accidentally move the laser the wrong way. Always have the laser completely out of focus when doing a meter test.

It's only the surface that can get scared
It's not real problem but it does effect
The absorption in the changed area in the
Future "very slightly"

These sold way faster than I expected through 3 different venues and I have only 1 Thermopile left. I found some more but they wont sell them for a price I'm willing to pay. only time will tell

Yeah... I hear you... I'm trying to get some as well
But I won't pay over $200.00 for one...
And like you said... the guy won't deal...
I think we found who bought all those heads...
