I just cannot see any scenario where he

a. Doesnt realize people want to know whats going on AND doesnt know he has missed calls and texts

or

b. Knows everyones concerns and is unable to contact anyone about it

A broken ankle or leg sucks but even if the doctor had to remove your legs it doesnt inhibit your ability to use a computer.

Stevie sold me my first 405 and 445, haven't got to test them yet but they are both in working condition and work pretty well.
Some hospitals don't let you use computers while under their hospitality. I know, it sounds stupid but some machines are interfered with.
If you guys REALLY need it, I can call several hospitals around where he lives and try to see if I can get any information.

^^^Don't bother. According to him he's been released.

Just got off the phone with the bank. Unfortunately if he's gone, I'm screwed:(

Only way to file a dispute is to claim fraud. Problem is the fraud claim would be against paypal and not Steven.

This is from the other thread

Just got off the phone with him. He is leaving the hospital now, he had a bar and some pins put in his ankle to hold it all together. He doesn't know if the order arrived yet. He said he will check all his email and stuff tomorrow.

This was on June 29th so he has been out for 16 days!

I can assure you guys, he isn't sick and can't contact us. He IS ignoring us. Wouldn't surprise me if he is reading this right now.

Yeah I'm getting worried now too. Maybe I should have sprung the extra $ for a G1 from Jayrob. Funny how someone else bought from him, had to send it back, and now he's MIA. How long do you have with paypal to dispute? 90 days? $45 on 5/19 and $30 on 5/14. I have the tracking info for me sending the lens back to him

Shot him an email last night, no reply as of yet.
Don't hold your breath waiting for that reply. On July 8 this was posted:
I called a few days ago and his gf answered the phone and said he was busy fixing the car and she would get him to call me back. Still haven't gotten a call back though. I will try tomorrow.
It sounds obvious to me that he's deliberately avoiding all attempts to contact him and his girlfriend answered his phone when he was out and couldn't tell her not to answer that.

BH also posted on June 29th that Stevie had sent him the accident story a few days prior to the 29th. So, about two weeks after the "accident" he was out working on his car, but he's unable to respond to any inquiries yet.:(

We've been had, guys. I'll bet he's signed up under another name so he can see what's happening on the board without his logins showing up under his steviedezie name.

I think it's 45 days for PayPal, but 90 days for most credit cards (if you used your credit card through PayPal)

Multiple accounts get snagged by admins really quick here so he probably wont have any luck with that but unfortunately he doesnt need an account to browse as a guest. :cryyy:

Heres another theory. No hospital. Just car problems which required money to fix. The broken leg and hospital visit could have been very convenient excuses for delay of the GB until moving day to an address that neither bhwollen, rhd or any other LPF member knows about.

He couldnt very well disappear when bhwollen could just drive over to his house so he needed a story to bridge the gap until he moved out.

Very true helios. But I actually believe he was in the hospital. We had a long talk about the surgery he had as I had a similar one.

Crap.
bhwollen-The lens on a 12x at 20' had like a 2" dot, trapezoidal/triangular pattern with two lines extending out the wide end, and it was way off center. I put it on my kitchen counter and rolled it and it was 3' diameter circle down the hall (same 20')

It is 45 days. With a credit card you have 90 days to file a dispute. Card issuing bank has 120 days to make a determination from that time - meaning send a notification to the merchant in question with a retrieval request.

My paypal account is linked to a perpetually empty bank account, with no overdraft protection, it's impossible to draw funds from it except what I deposit in there. Whenever I buy anything using paypal I deposit money into the account first.

Of course the minus is a situation like this. First time in 8 years it looks like I'm gonna lose some money with this setup.

Not exactly true. IP's are logged of course, but the process is not automatic - for obvious reasons. Plus stevie is not a pretty smart guy, going through a proxy is child's play.

Might be that he was, and bills piled up. After he got out it he used whatever money he had for regular expenses. If that's the case though, personally I would understand. What I won't understand is the lack of contact.

You should be able to fix that at least. Or did you send it back already? Sounds like the lens just isnt seated correctly.
