Maybe you should direct PP to this thread in LPF, that way they can see what we have to say about Philip! ;) lol

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

yeah... I'm not gonna start taking money orders... sorry

If it doesn't matter that much then it doesn't matter.

I was just reminding you there are tried and true ways.

Have used the check or money order route myself---yes, is a few days wait for money order or check to arrive in mail---but that is nowhere as big a hassle, inconvenience, and loss compared to what you are going through now with PayPal and have apparently gone through before as well.

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

I see two major roadblocks- worst being the new policy at FeeBay & Poop Pal on sales of lasers over 5 mW.. the other is if the confirmed delivery was not the one that required a sig-- bad move.

When you first posted about this I went to the 'buyers' profile page hoping to see that he was already banned- as the OP was new- fair enough- that is something that should never be rushed( I know this all too well)

However checking back a day or so later I not only see that the scammer has not been baned BUT afaik NO mods or Admin have visited his profile page --yet.

Checked again- same deal and I see that Pr0ject is now on-line and has surely by now know that he has been called out and any innocent and reasonably intelligent person would be posting in your thread in his OWN defense- that not being done did not look good for you Anthon. maybe you did not pass this all along to the Mods/Admin but IDK. --

I try my hardest to avoid Poop Pal as much as possible- if this causes me some GBers or sales=- tough 5hit.. I am not the newcomer- they usually are- A pic of the buyers drivers license showing address and age will weed out a lot of these losers.

I only ship to verified PP addresses unless I have a history with the other person.

I only do USPS MOs- @ 1.99$ they are a bargain. Most scammers think twice before scams involving the Federal Govt.
cashable ONLY with photo ID- and any crime committed using a USPS MO is a serious one to be sure- use of a trusted middle man is also good advice. LPF has members almost everywhere-- cash payments cannot be
refunded w/o your consent nor back-charged- no way to 'freeze' your money. Trusting all newcomers is not wise- you may lose a few sales but that is a good tradeoff IMHO.

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

Yeah... He actually hasn't been online since he scammed me...

A few mods got the attention of this issue but he hasnt been banned, I won't comment on that, I'm not a mod & it's not my decision.

PayPal is horrible, they always manage to let the scammers slide & the not scammers get banned from PayPal... It's pretty horrible.

Now I have to contact my bank to get a new account number so the one on my PayPal becomes void... I don't want any more surprises from PayPal now :)

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

I am very sorry to hear about this, AnthoT. I have been scammd by paypal twice now for over $300 total. I just used my dads house as the new address and made a new account with an alias email address. It works out fine for me. PM me when you get this sorted out so I can send you some money :D

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

i swear his green light was on when i went to his page- you may be going with his Last post as he WAS here after i read your OP.
His occupation, if true, could make him a little more 'bullet proof' than the non tech- savvy but someone is smarter. if he had intelligance he would not be scamming. he is a leech.

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

AnthoT made me aware of the situation, and provided valid proof via email.

I didn't ban him just in case he wanted to respond to this thread, by now its fairly obvious he isn't going to so he's now gone.

Sorry you got totally ar$e raped by this idiot AnthoT.

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

good job PED- never good to ban until sure- but I think this guy needed the hammer- if he wants to respond he has many other ways to do that.

I plan to send him some Neg FB and any who take the time to read his REP. should know to avoid.--karma-- not always instant but you better believe it exists.

Re: Warning about LPF member "pr0jkt"

I've decided I will continue selling but things will be different...
I will only sell bulk, so basically sell the resellers, my prices are too low for single quantities, that way I can also sell using tracked & insured ALWAYS, so my stuff will still be here, but in other places :) & scammers are less likely to buy bulk... I think...

Paypal & the Scammers said:
Hello ,

We have reviewed your PayPal Account and, due to the excessive risk
involved, we would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least
disruptive to your business.

-----------------------------------
Disbursement options
-----------------------------------

Option 1. If you owe refunds to any of your buyers, you can use the money
in your PayPal account to refund them. Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of
the page with the transaction details. We’ll send a refund on your behalf
using money from your PayPal balance.

Option 2. Money in your PayPal account will be held for 180 days. After 180
days, we'll email you information on how to receive your funds.

Thanks,

PayPal

so they don't find i have enough Disbursement options. :wtf:

anyways i already called my bank & credit card companies to file for a lost card so paypal can stop scamming me already...

So this story/ rant is done.. Phillip caused all this & he is still out there with a paypal account scamming people as we speak, PayPal doesn't care because they are collecting interest on the money in my account right now, just to piss paypal off I'm going to refund some random people. i rather people get their money back now for free then having to wait 180 days & let PAYPAL MAKE MONEY OFF MY MONEY. at least they won't accomplish their goal :)

the best thing is, paypal NEVER replied to ONE of my emails, they NEVER called me back when they said they would, They NEVER took into consideration that there ARE some scamming buyers... not always scamming sellers...

Im done with this thread & i think its purpose has been served,

hopefully people will now know PayPal is dangerous & a risk on its own, They are ALLOWED to do this FOR NO REASON, they DONT need to give you warnings or any consent of a situation like this...

It just really pisses me off how the scammers have gotten away with their PayPal's while hundreds/thousands of people have to have this happen to them when they really didn't deserve it. & to think this all started as a unauthorized transaction claim, they somehow manage to associate that with me being a scammer, who knows Phillip could very well be using a stolen credit card, but PayPal doesn't suspect him...
