Bought a 1w laser from RDTech...im not talking bad about him, but the shipping service.
see here for laser link:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-125-ss-1w-445nm-pointer-w-rear-switch-56630.html

I payed 15 dollar extra for the package to arrive in 3-5 business days...totally 40 dollar. Tommorow is day 5...and according to the dutch post service it has not arrived in my country...so arriving tommorow is impossible.

And tracing the package...the trace code said "electronic shipping info received". and never changed since monday(shipping date).

Is it possible to contact usps where the heck my package is?
im not happy about their service so far.

EDIT: it arrived :D see posts downstairs :)

I've had pkgs from USPS arrive at the house before they ever showed leaving the shipper.
All it ever showed was the tracking number was issued. USPS has the worst tracking system I've seen.

I have packages arrive all the time that never update on the USPS tracking. They don't always keep things updated on tracking for some reason...I guess they don't think it is important to update often 'til the package actually arrives sometimes. I wouldn't get mad with USPS though. It could be the foreign post being slow as well.

When using USPS within the USA I always ask for 1st class shipping unless its heavy and will fit the flat rate box. I have used both and flat rate gets here no faster than 1st class. Only advantage is the weight for flat rate.
Tracking is really a joke too. If they lose a pkg and you call, you get 1 of 2 answers.
1. We can't find your package.
2. We can't find your package with that tracking number.

Tracking confirms it was delivered........but not necessarily to the right place. Been there too. So, now it's off to signature required, considering they don't lose it first.
I've had pkgs show up, signature required and they weren't mine. They don't ask for ID and I could sign the name on the ticket and take it.

Most places within the US will refund your extra shipping charges if it arrives past the date stated as it failed to meet services paid for.
If it's coming from outside the US...............................well........you can ask for the refund.

so RDTech can ask for a refund of the extra 15 dollars?

@iFosh: no, its not the post service here. they are super quick. when something's there they deliver the next day in the whole country. always.(exept sunday) (and experienced it about 50 times)
The customs can hold the package for inspection, but the post service always know when its at the customs. they know as soon as the plane lands and the package gets scanned.(and the scanning takes place like immediatly)

I seldom ask for fast shipping. The few times were for things my family just "had to have ASAP". If it failed to meet the date, I contacted the seller , who I paid, and they refunded the "extra shipping fee". Some removed all shipping charges for the inconvenience.

If you want fast shipping for an overseas package, you cant beat fedex.

I usually ship with Canada Post / USPS for items to the USA which costs me an average
of 20$ for 6-10day expedited with crappy tracking.

If I have to send to the UK or overseas for that matter I ship with fedex, the cost on average
is 60-80$, but lands on the doorstep of the buyer within 3days everytime

No it is not held in customs...i already said TNT(our main post service) knows when it is at customs and i call them every day if it has arrived at customs.

What does "expletive deleteds" mean?

I told how i really feel...i payed more for faster shipping but those pooped up guys didnt do as they promised.

Now just hold on on minute and take a deep breath. You say tomorrow is day 5 so lets see what it brings. Also just to let you know you cant count Sunday, as it is a non working day.
Plus if he mailed it after 4pm you usually cant count that day either. So for all you know tomorrow is day 4 ):

Also I have received packages that don't show up in tacking until after it is delivered, strange?

Keep us posted?

I didnt count monday(the date he shipped). And today its saturday.

I also got a response from usps trough mail...
Boaz, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.* I did check my resources and this scan indicates that the shipper has notified the Postal Service that they intend to submit the item for processing and delivery.* It does*not indicate*the actual mailing date or time itself.* For further assistance, please contact the office listed below:
But i think thats nonsense since it really has shipped on monday, according to rdtech. And i believe that guy more then usps.

EDIT: it arrived :D thats really a really big suprise. It means it must have landed today, or tonight, and shipping today. Well i withdraw my words of usps.(but tracking sucks) and a extra compliment towards my own post service :)
