Do i got scammed out of $200?

I have brought a diode from ElectroFreak Gb 3, and got it sent directly to a member along with a package wich had some parts for the builds (worth like 40 dollars). I have also sent $135 about 15 days ago.

The person who was supposed to build the lasers (1x 445nm in a dorcy jr host +boostdrive +405nm aixiz lense )many problems occured then... It seem"s that somehow, he got extremely mad at me for pm him each day asking if my builds was done.... And he try to charge me for all the time he took to reply my pm. (thats been about 3weeks now).

About a week ago, he agreed on to build me a 445nm in a jayrob kit using a boost drive and a 405-g-1.

How about you only build a 445nm, in the jayrob 18650 kit he sent and upgrade my aixiz glass lense for a 405-g-1?

I beleve my parts should equals the value of a 405-g-1..
and as u will only need 1 boost drive, you also get +23$...etcs

Now, i have not heard any of him since five days ago and while i see his lpf profile i see that he was online today morning...

I have dealt multiple time with that members and now i feel that doing a paypal chargeback or credit card chargeback against him simply is wrong and that we can still get things sorted together.

While I don't want to get too involved in this, I can vouch for the fact that I sent a diode paid for by Rangedunits to a 3rd party. The dispute (if any) between them is not my business, but I would like to see Ranged get the item he paid me for. I sent it to the 3rd party in good faith that Ranged would receive it in due course.

What's the point of trade feedback if you don't tell us his name?

I think he is just looking for input as to what to do with the situation. Not so much a finger pointing at this point. (although you have left me curious as to who this mystery builder could be)

I think the person involved knows who he is and will probably
respond by PM since Rangedunits is not dragging anyone's name
through the dirt...
I think rangedunits just wants his build and an ETA...

But if he really is a scammer and you never get your laser, then you need to tell us the name so that other member can avoid the same situation.

NO.... he does NOT need to name the person he is having problems
with yet... at this point the biggest immediate problem is getting an
Estimated Time of Arrival and some honest
communication started...

You knowing who this is will not speed things up...
BTW... Curiosity killed the cat...

Three weeks:wtf:that is too long to build a laser with readily available parts.

If that member doesn't want to do it or doesn't know how to do it he should just refund the money with parts to Rangeunit.:scowl:

Personally I think the person in question is just delaying things to screw with Ranged. I just want to make sure that he gets what he paid me for. If the 3rd party builder discussed here doesn't at least make sure of that then they'll not only have a problem with Rangedunits, they'll have a very serious problem with me.

By telling Ranged that his laser will be built by a determined time, and then failing to have it ready without communication is enough for me to get the name out.

They have been on LPF since that date apparently, so its only a matter of time before they see this.

@Ranged, does this person have a normally high reputation for making builds? Would you say that this is out of character for said individual?

Well, that persons does not do builds(he made an exception) but have a high reputation.
I went with all the hassle to get a diode and send the parts to him because i knew that i would get my lasers the next week.. i couldnt wait for the Artic"s(I wanted the lasers for the fireworks here).

I did feel confident to get him build my 445nm, because of our nice and smooth previous transaction.. I had trust in him, seem like it was misplaced.

Somehow, i still have some hope that i get message from him that confirm my package is coming..

I happen to be privy to the identity of this individual, & I must say that this is TOTALLY out of character for him & that there HAS to be some extenuating circumstances that he has NO CONTROL over that are causing this delay &/or lack of communication. I know that if I was in this persons shoes & I had a customer calling me or PMing me several times a day, I would also tend to be a bit miffed at being bothered so much, especially if the questions that are being asked are the same ones over & over again.
