Problem with Jersagfast -RESOLVED

I bought THIS flashlight from Jeremy and sent him a PayPal payment.
I made several attempts to pay him because he had multiple PayPal accounts but finally he was able to accept my payment on January 19th.
He claims to have shipped my light on January 23rd.

Fast forward two weeks. No flashlight, and both his e-mail addresses are UN-deliverable including the one he's using for PayPal.
After PM'ing a couple of his LPF friends, Alien Laser said he would try to contact him for me.
Interestingly the next evening I received a PM from Jersagfast on February 9th stating he shipped the light a week ago, not two weeks ago.
And that I should have received it and that he has the tracking number for USPS. But he didn't give me the number. And I'm trying to figure out why.

So here we are on February 11th, twenty days since he originally claimed to ship the light, and he's once again ignoring me.
I've been a member of this site a long time and this is the very first instance where I've needed to use the Dispute Resolution forum.

Hopefully he will come through with the tracking number soon.
Now that they have extended the deadline to file a PayPal dispute from 45 days to 180 days, I'm not overly concerned but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Thanks for listening everyone.

Open a PayPal Dispute.... That will get his attention.

Do not Close the dispute until you have the product
or a full Refund in your hands no matter how much
he begs that you close it.
remember... Once closed you can not re-open a PayPal
Dispute.

If he does not respond to the Dispute in 2-4 days...
escalate the Dispute to a Claim and let PayPal
handle it.

I have no patience for seller that can't keep the lines
of communication open.

Re: Problem with Jersagfast

I always wonder how this works. do they put a negative balance on the sellers PayPal if a refund or product is not received after a claim?

From what I've read, if PayPal rules in your favor and are unable to collect the funds directly from the seller's PayPal account (which of course will be the case),
they refund you (at their expense) and charge the seller's account which results in a negative balance on the sellers Paypal account.
Even if the seller has a valid debit/credit card or bank account on file, I don't think PayPal can legally charge them directly, so basically they cover you (buyer protection).

Awaiting other party's response.

Did he respond to PayPal with a Tracking Number
after you escalated the Dispute to a Claim ??

Re: Problem with Jersagfast

I received this PM from Jersagfast late last night. Still no tracking number though.

"Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I have shipped the light out. It would be my lost in this case. I had to check on what's going on after I heard about the PayPal dispute."

DO NOT under any circumstance... close the Claim until you
receive the item you bought OR a full Refund.
I told you PayPal would get his attention.;)

Yeah, that's what Eitan would do to try to screw people. He'd wait for them to file a claim, then make up some new bs about a tracking # and package being sent to try to make them drop the claim. After dropping a claim you cannot reopen it.

Yeah... Been there... Done that when I was first
introduced to eBay/PayPal scammers/thieves way
back...
Until it's proven... Trust/Believe no-one...;)

Re: Problem with Jersagfast

There's really no excuse to not even give a tracking #. The things are free!
