I'll make a very long story short:

This guy RULES! He's incredibly generous, has been excellent in making sure to communicate with me and has been just an overall pleasure to deal with.

The packages came a little later than I had hoped, but it was shipped over the holiday season and is of no fault of Robs at all.

The packaging itself was MORE than sufficient, the product arrived safe and sound and while I haven't actually tested it yet, it looks like it's perfectly fine. I'll update as things happen, but I really don't/can't anticipate any potential issues.

Overall, the guy is awesome and I can't say enough good things about him. I would absolutely buy from him again without hesitation.

Thanks Rob!

Thanks for the compliments guys/gals. When I do business with someone, I try to treat them with a good deal like I would expect when purchasing items from my Forum friends, & so far, anything that I've bought on this Forum regardless of the seller, has been sold to me at a cut rate, on a payment plan, or the seller just being a nice guy. So i'm just trying to do as has been done to me. Thanks again all......... rob

Small update:

I finally got working batteries, and HOLY JEEZUS.

This thing is BEAUTIFUL to witness in person. The one thing I didn't expect, was that there would be a reflection on my face that I was able to see in my peripheral vision. (Of course using safety glasses)

This thing burns like a Mo-Fo. It's incredible, and that's with batteries that aren't at full power either.

It's divergence is a little lacking, but I don't know if it's just the focal lens that doesn't want to turn for me, or if it's just the nature of the blue diode.

Either way - after finally being able to use and witness this laser in person... WOW. Just... Simply wow. It's amazing, beautiful and I have Rob/Phoenix77 to thank for that :)

It was a custom build, Cree c6 aurora host, with I can only guess an a140 diode. It's 1.4W though. The divergence is a little high, but I think the lens needs a little adjustment. Came with a 18650 battery, charger, safety goggles, laser, and a hand written love note. Errr... I mean safety warning lol

Yeah dude, you went off about "Wow bright" , but you haven't even told us what did you even purchase! :D

I know Rob is awesome, though I didn't trade anything yet with him, but I'm about to get hold of some aluminum baseplates from him, rmember that Rob? Yeah that dude decided he can't give me PC case, so I'll get some other one.

In any way, I haz munays, you haz aluminiumz. We make dealz, soon.

If this is your first experience with a 445nm diode you should know that they have a divergence that is not so favorable. But, when compared to other multi-mode diodes, they perform quite well. Just telling you this so that you don't wear down the threads on your focusing ring while you are trying to achieve "dot" at distance. Lol.

Thanks Madog - I knew the divergence isn't nearly as favorable as other lasers, however it still seemed a little extra off compared to videos online I've seen. Maybe it's just perception but I'm not going to fight any harder to get it focused in more. It's not a huge deal because it's a monster of power either way.
