Just to be clear, you inquired about both variable control which you had read about in one of my
posts, as well as the burning cap for the laser, and it not being a short focal point:

Reginak, I certainly understand your frustration, I've been there myself.

A long time back, circa August of last year, I picked up one of Wannaburn's builds, secondhand. Build quality was excellent, but it was quite underpowered. During the sale, WB did say he would honor the 2 year warranty, and so I contacted him.

I sent the laser to him, and he had it at the end of september. Originally I was expecting to have it back in 2-3 weeks.

Then the lapses in communication started. PM's were not being answered at all.

WB did respond to email, with a delay, but he did respond, after a while. Told me that the original host was destroyed, but that he would make me a new laser. I was ok with this.

Altogether it took over six months, but he did come through.

I think what helped in my situation is he had the parts needed on hand, so when he was able to get back to building, he did it pretty fast.

I know it's not a good situation for either of you, but hang in here... he will come through.

It has some similarities, like for example, the person was involved, long delays, and for a time very poor communication.

I've dealt with JLSE off the Forum on a few occasions and has
always come through. Life can throw you unexpected curve balls
that will hinder your good will. I've learned to be patient when I
buy stuff on the Forum.

If JLSE says he'll make it right I know he will...

I know of a GB that has gone almost 2 years with numerous members
waiting for their paid for goods and only recently have some of those
payments been returned. That GB organizer also had unexpected life
curve balls hit him.. and for the most part the Forum community
understood..

@ Reginak... Thanks for being so patient.... I don't believe you
have lost your $$....It's just taking a bit longer to find you...:beer:

But the thread according this issue in the Vet section of this forum I started showed your point view very well.

You were hammering me that I have no proove that Regina isn´t lying about that she emailed Joe several time about this case. You both also rated the thread with 1*star.

As I asked Regina for a proove screenshot of the email contact, and posted it, "suddenly" there was no more reply. I´m sure there is also an excuse for that, right?


I always tried to help Regina with this issue, as I felt responsible cause I recommended her Joe for this built.

It´s time for being upfront. If I´m ashamed of telling my customer that I spent his $$$ on something else, or if there was an unexpected event, I would tell. At least after several months.

I know that it was very hard for Regina to post this on the open forum. But there was no other way to get a reply from Joe. Again, I´m not talking about the money-issue chiefly, I talk about being upfront. That wasn´t the case here.

Hope you both get it worked out now :beer:

No... my problem with you was that you put your nose in
where it didn't belong in the Vets section....

Reginak had a problem and didn't need her mommy to open
a Thread for her. I'm sure... as I can see here that Reginak
is able to do so just fine...

You made claims of PMs and E-Mails in the vets Thread
without offering that proof for quite some time...
When you finally offered the smallest amount of proof
there was obviously no more reason to ask for proof.

I didn't rate that thread... Get your facts straight before
you point an accusing finger...

Thanks for the kind words.. Most that have had any dealings with me know
that for the most part things are done timely, and on occasion there are delays.
Usually when life gets too crazy.. All that means is the odd delay from time to time
and with custom stuff, its just the nature of the beast.

If Joe was in "very serious life situation" why should he be able to read my mails/PMs if he can´t read Regina´s.

Counterquestion, why hasn´t Joe contacted Regina even after the thread in the Vet section where he replied several times?

I´m sure he has his reasons :beer:

Update

Hi, after a payment of US$200,00 made by JLSE/Wannaburn on June I didn't received the rest. Waited 2 months to enter in contact again and didn't received any response via e-mail. The last time he entered as JLSE here was in july.

He still owes me US$400,00 and right now I really think I lost the money. Thats is a strange feeling because every single person that contacted me via PM was telling the same story "you will receive your money back" but next month will be a YEAR that I sent him US$600,00.

And it amazes me to see that he received a positive rep for ripping me off... yes, AFTER 1 year we can start to call that way.

Anyway, just an updated for those who want to know what happened AFTER I opened this topic.
