So, recently bought a 594nm yellow 50mW CNI labby from MarioMaster. Some folks may have seen it in the forum.
Just want to quickly overview my (really positive) experience with the guy. First of all, he worked with me on payment, and was really acommodating with it; more than he had to be, really. The laser was shipped and packed really well (a sticking point of mine with the problems I've run into.)
Now, here's the big thing (imo). When the laser got here, it was putting out rather low power (18mW). Now, MM said not only once but twice, that if things didn't work out with it -- he'd refund my money. Keep in mind, sellers DO NOT have to do that, and most will not. This wasn't a small amount, either, and if MM would have been perfectly within his rights to say "sorry" and end communication with me there.
But he didn't. He gave me guidance on which pots to look at for adjustment; and reiterated that he'd refund me if I couldn't get it working.
Luckily, it looks like the whole problem was simply a TEC wire that came loose due to shipping vibrations (that sort of vibration can't be avoided no matter how well you pack - and this was packed well) and after tightening that up to the screw-terminals, it's now doing 50-58mW of 594; I've had it doing ~47mW for *over two hours*... Two hours of ~50mW 594 is quite a sight and is some pretty serious orange/yellow.
If you count my Radiant Alpha and a few 445nm diodes early on, this isn't the first thing I bought from him; but - anyways, just wanted to let people know that ; the guy's professional and moral -- so don't be afraid to buy from him.
