Hey all,

I'm not quite sure if I posted this in the correct area but either way
I ordered some stuff from Focalprice.com :yabbmad: a while back...and now it's no where to be seen. I requested for a refund and they said to wait 2 more days and if the package is a no show then I'd get a refund...Well 2 more days pass and still no package so I sent of another message saying that it hasn't shown up and I'd like a refund now then they replied saying to wait a week.
So I waited for yet another week and still no package so I sent off yet another message saying it still hasn't showed up then I got ignored for bit so I said I would be opening a paypal dispute if I wasn't refunded. A few days pass and still no reply so I opened up a paypal dispute and about a day or so later they replied on the paypal dispute message saying to wait even longer for it to arrive...Then after that I got a message on FP saying to close the paypal dispute and they will refund me the money.

So I need everyone's advice.

Should I close the paypal dispute and wait for my refund? Or are they trying to scam me?

Cheers,

LL

:can:

Also I've ordered a heap of stuff from china in the past and it has never taken this long to arrive.

I would tell them when you get the refund you will cancel the dispute! It's not your fault that you didn't get your order, it's their fault!

I say screw them! You know the saying

Screw me once, shame on you!
Screw me twice, shame on me!

I've told Paypal what they have said about closing the dispute in order to receive a refund, I'll see what happens next.

I know I won't be buying from Focalprice ever again!

I received a package that I ordered from FP the other day...I ordered two 100mW green pointers. When I recieved that package, it was ripped up on one end and I could see that only one of the laser boxes was in the package and it was CRUSHED!

The laser works, but it is putting out about 30mW (max). I told them my issues and they asked for more pictures. I just sent them more pictures of the actual package I recieved and am waiting on a reply...guess we will see how my issues are taken care of too. I wish the best of luck with you in your refund!

Paypal will tell you to get the refund first, as you should do. You dont have to pay for goods you did not receive.

Update: I got another message from FP saying that they could either resend it and to make sure it wouldn't get lost I needed to pay them $1.7USD for a tracking number...HAHA good luck! Or they can give me a $17 store credit for my next order..again HAHA good luck..Or give me a refund. So I asked for the refund and see where this takes me.

P.S I got a tracking number the first time round....

Not good customer service. DX has been good to me about lost stuff, or products that were sent in error. It's not really the mistake that can ruin a reputation, but how they handle it.

That thread title was just gold! I had a decent return experience with DX though, and they paid for all the shipping (tracking, etc.). Gotta always use USPS's priority mail and order it online so you get the free shipping, otherwise they'll probably pull that bullshit on you.

Take it up with paypal and end all discussions with FP.

You close the dispute and your fcuked.

They have the ability to refund even if the funds are on hold. the funds that are on hold are only on hold from you spending them or transferring them away, not refunding to the customer.

Update: I kept getting messages from FP saying I'd get a refund when I closed the dispute blah blah blah...So I said #%^$ them! Then proceeded to submit my dispute into a claim.
Few hours later I got a message from PP saying I'd been refunded. :san:

As for Focalprice...Go stick a 532 up your 405..

Cheers,

LL
