Hey guys, I just gotta share how great this stuff is!:drool: For a while I had been salvaging wire from stuff I had at my house, but as I was gearing up for my first build I decided that I was gonna have a really hard time completing it without some better materials. So I remembered a lot of people mentioning Flaminpyro wire and I thought I would give it a shot. So I ordered a roll of it, and after two days of waiting and one day of work, I just finished my first laser!
Honestly, I doubt I could have done it without the toughness and flexibility of this wire. It took every mishandling and every too-long touch of the soldering iron. And with my skills......orrrrr lack thereof that is saying something :crackup:
I think feedback is the only way a community can improve, and even when improvement is not necessary, self awareness is key in maintaining that level. In this instance I had only one regret: that I did not get 2 colors! Thank you Jeff for such a great deal! Will definitely be ordering more sometime!!!

Yesterday my new shipment of wire came in. there were supposed to be 3 new
colors but they messed up and sent green instead of BLUE.
So I do have 2 new colors at this time with BLUE on the way here now !
What is in stock and avable at this time is: RED, BLACK, YELLOW, GREEN, WHITE, PURPLE.

Glad you've got plenty in stock. I still have about 20 feet left of the 40 you sent me. I include 4 leads with each kit i sell now so people can use it...
I also found tons of hex wrenches at Fastenal for $0.07ea, So i bought all of them lol. Now i include one of those in each of my kits too.....for the set screw.
I love this wire though.....

I think he does i'm not sure where it is though. It's a silicone insulator so it won't melt or shrink when your iron touches it. It's made of like 62 conductors so it's super flexible and won't break after being bent or twisted for a while.

A little touch of science here. I sometimes use 30 AWG wire in my builds. I put a 2" piece of this across a power supply and cranked it to 2 Amps. No heat or burn out. Look at that tiny wire in a 2 Amp fuse!!!!!
This silicon wire is stranded and as you know, Skin Effect comes into play here. Look at welding cables which conduct over 200 Amps don't get hot because of the small braded wire in there.
Unless you have a 10 Amp draw for a 30 volt RF CO2 laser, this wire will handle what you need.

I always just pm him when i need wire, as i can't find the thread for it. IIRC it's $5 for 20', plus shipping and pp fees.
